Our experience at Maple Vista has been good to date. The smaller community size is good for the residents to get along. Three meals a day is a good plan, very good value for the money. I do wish they had more staff available during the evening hours. The buildings are older but remodeled so they are simple but they provide very well, the walkways are outside so the winter can be challenging. Comparison to a hotel/motel. Redwood inn to a Marriot.

When he signed up, it sounded like he would get a lot of extra things included, but that's not necessarily the case. But it's been a good place overall. They're a nonprofit and don't have a lot of staff. But the staff are nice and helpful. Housekeeping has been great. The grounds are not kept up as much, but they do the best they can with what they have. He likes the food but wishes there was more variety. I think the value is pretty good considering you get three meals a day, utilities, rent, and light housekeeping included. And overall it has been working out for him. Before moving in, he was a shut-in, and Maple Vista allows him to have daily contact with people and get out walking and moving more, which has been good for him.

Great value for the price. A few issues that have been mentioned by residents is the bland taste of the food. The dining hall is clean and orderly. The residents look forward to all of the mealtimes, its their social hour. It would be great if the food was another aspect of their excitement of going to the dining hall. Please let me be clear, the food is nutritious, its just a bit bland for some of the residents. For the price that is charged, the value is great.

Response from Maple Vista
November 16, 2018Thank you for taking the time to share. We welcome all feedback and always appreciate opportunities to improve. We recognize the importance of offering affordable, all-inclusive housing for seniors, and of course we know how much they value the fellowship that is shared during mealtime. We are sorry to hear that some of our residents find the food bland. Because of various dietary needs, the dining staff works hard to accommodate everyone. We also hold regular meetings with our residents where they can provide input regarding food, and welcome family members, caregivers and all interested parties to attend those meetings. Please contact Crystal Campagne, Housing Manager, at [removed] to see when the next meeting is scheduled, or to share specific comments or concerns about the food. Again, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences with us, as we strive for 100% satisfaction for all of our wonderful residents!
Really like this one for many reasons. Right cost. Close to many of us. Independent living with the option to add on services as needed.

The staff are great. They are extremely helpful, understanding and we have good communication. They offer daily activities and the menu looks great. The community is extremely clean. They painted and put in new carpet in my loved ones room before he moved in. The community is affordable and worked with us. I would recommend this community.

Overall our experience with Sanctuary at Maple Vista has been a good one! It's a nice looking place, the staff is friendly, and the management has been very helpful! Mom really loves the place! However, we have had a few small issues with the dining service and the housekeeping staff. It's definitely worth a look if you're looking into senior living in the area!

The entire staff at Sanctuary is great. The food is healthy but my uncle feels it is kind of bland for him. They offer a lot of activities. The community is pretty clean. I also wanted to thank A Place for Mom for their assistance as it was a lifesaver.

This place is a garbage dump. Any son that would leave their parent or loved one in this place should be commited. I've been in way nicer trailers.
