Living at the facility is not recommended they take advantage of the residence and have no regard for their needs. After you get in to the facility which is very expensive then you experience their treatment of the residents you will have no rights with them regardless of what their contracts say.

November 13, 2023We genuinely apologize for the negative experience and that is never our intention. We take feedback seriously and strive to improve. The rooms are not kept clean. I had to ask for someone to clean on a few occasions They are generally friendly but not good at follow up. Wound care nurse not very good. My mom is not assisted with much. My mom hates the food. I have never tried the food. I know they have activities but my mom has not participated in them. No one has tried to encourage her either. The place is expensive which I was aware of but the money we are paying far outweighs the value we have received. I also know the management is relatively new but they don't seem to be able to get things going in the right direction. I am sorry to say that I would not recommend La Orilla.

We took a tour of La Orilla of St. Petersburg during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. Nice facility! The place was clean and all of the staff were friendly. They offered good services, also. Ultimately, we decided on a place closer to home.

October 31, 2023Thank you for the review! We really appreciate it!
We moved dad there when [removed]. Since [removed] took over it has totally gone down the tubes. All the residents complain the food is over cooked and barely edible. They dining room staff have attitudes and treat the residents like dirt. We pay for too level of care and days go by before the room gets cleaned. Imagine the stench of dirty Depends. All we hear is they are working on fixing things. We have to stock dad's fridge with food because he is hungry. We drive over an hour to get there. It's a nice facility however there is little dignity for the residents.

I have been here for thre months. Tonight I went fifteen hours without pain medication. After twelve hours I pushed my emergency pendant. Waited an hour and pressed my pendant again. Waited 45 minutes and ulled my room alarm. A girl responded and told I would get my meds and to turn my tv down. Waited for 20 minutes and went into the halls on the 4th floor, the first floor, the second floor, the third floor yelling for assistance. Went back to the 1st floor lobby to call the police when a youngster showed and, adversarily, asked me what my problem was. It got worse from that point. She ended by repeating that I was distracting her and she “didn’t care”. There is a floor that is closed. Memory care and special care. I wonder what kind of treatment they are receiving. Some of the nurses/med techs treat me as if I were cattle. The dining room is as bad

Our family had an in person tour with Grand Villa of St. Petersburg and we loved the entrance of the community. We also like the size of the rooms, the dining rooms and the different activities.

Staff are incredibly friendly! Nursing staff isn't easy to get ahold of or return calls made sometimes ever. They've had multiple complaints on the food and the service in the dining hall. They've had meetings with the residents because it's so bad for multiple months now, with no improvement. They have lots of activities, but they are very female focused activities. For active men, there aren't a lot of things to do on a daily basis. The occupational therapy staff is excellent, but the physical therapy staff just doesn't have the equipment, space or ability to give specific, quality individual care.

March 10, 2023Thank you for your feedback about our community. We pride ourselves on our services, including our highly professional and responsive care team and our dining services. In fact, our residents are often involved in helping develop our special menus and other dining events. We also work hard to provide our residents with a wide range of interactive activities, including card games, billiards, fishing trips and other men's social engagements. If you have specific questions or ideas about activities for our residents, please reach out to the community directly.
My loved one has adjusted. We are quite pleased. The staff is well trained. The interaction with the staff is good. The activiites is good and they really do try. They are tryng to do an admiral job. Overall, the employees are wonderful. I would recommend to other families. The food is fair, and the dining room staffs needs improvement.

This was a nice community and the staff was great to work with. We felt more at home at another community. The community felt more hospital like and was close to a highway.
We moved mom into Grand Villa in [date removed]. She has been tremendously happy with all of the staff members who make her days filled with joy and security. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] for medical support, and the entire third for resident care team personally care for her, and we know that she is in good hands. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] Insurance, that visitors are properly recorded and always have a pleasant outlook when we arrive and a positive attitude. Towards all the residents!

The staff could not have been more kind or made me feel more comfortable. The facility for my loved one was just too large and the location would have been a far drive for me. I wanted him close so I could visit often.
This place is amazing. I would give it a five star review in all categories. From staff to food..I visit a friend in assisted living and in memory care and all levels of care are outstanding. They go above and beyond in all aspects of care. Can't imagine a nicer place for your loved ones.Have to add that during hurricane Ian they opened the doors for friends and family to ride out the storm.

Moving my mother into assisted living was a very difficult decision, but we knew it was the best option so she could socialize and have more activity while in a safe environment. [Name removed], the leasing coordinator, was such a tremendous help from the beginning and really helped to guide us and give us a sense of peace with the decision. Since then, the whole Grand Villa team has been wonderful. They’re friendly, kind and compassionate. We’re so happy to have mom moved in and safe. She frequently comments on how lovely everyone is which is the best outcome we could have hoped for!

I toured this community. It was very nice and they were very helpful, just too regimented for my loved one's needs.
We recently moved our Uncle to Grand Villa of Saint Petersburg from San Francisco. I can’t possibly express how professional and caring the staff were there. The place is beautiful, and the residents have every possibly amenity imaginable. It’s was such a relief knowing that our Uncle was in an environment that he enjoyed, and was well looked after.

When I moved my brother from southern Texas to St Pete at the end of 2019 (where my husband and I live) due to his failing health , I really was so lost. But we found the Grand Villa almost immediately, read the reviews, visited with my brother and were immediately sold. Since 2019 I have been able, first hand, to say what a wonderful place this is. My brother is 100% happy here - it's his home with people he knows, the care that he needs and meals that he loves. The Villa goes out of their way to come up with interesting and new activities to keep the residents involved. The aides have been so kind. I have had many oportunities to watch their kindness and patience in caring for residents. I know [name removed](the current Director) has high standards and it is evident. He kept so many residents safe during the worst of the pandemic due to his diligence. Any issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
