Since 2007 Home Matters Caregiving has been serving the local community in the heart of Beaverton, Oregon. As an in-home care company, we were established to keep the needs of our elders in mind. There comes a time when we will all need a helping hand, and the senior living industry now includes a variety of care options at a reasonable cost, provided in the comfort and safety of clients’ own homes. Home matters—it is where we feel the most connected, comfortable, and secure, and our caregivers are more than happy to accommodate clients in their familiar spaces and assist them with all activities of daily living.
Our comprehensive areas of experience and expertise allow us to provide services from basic companionship to hospice care. We have healthcare professionals on staff that are permitted to provide skilled nursing care, such as diabetes management, Hoyer transfers, PT/INR checks, medication management, foot care, and more. We are strong advocates for the aging population, and it is our mission to provide seniors in our community an opportunity to age gracefully and safely in place.

When my Dad entered Hospice care, I wanted to find a caregiver to provide companionship and oversight for him on the weekends, as the facility where he lives is often understaffed and I live out of state. I called six agencies and only Home Matters was able to find a caregiver for us. And what a gem! She provided an invaluable service to to our family by easing my Dad’s loneliness (he very enjoyed the time she spent with him) and she was able to keep an eye on things for me in my absence. I am very grateful to her for really making a positive difference in the last several weeks of his life.

We have had the honor of having the best caregiver for over 2 years now and he has been a true blessing to us. We think of him as a part of our family now. He has a wonderful demeanor and has been instrumental in helping to keep my husband at home during a difficult time in our lives. Without him, I would have a much harder life, so I am so grateful for his calm and helpful presence in our home. Thanks to Home Matters for finding him for us!

My husband came home from a rehabilitation facility just about 10 months ago and he requires a lift to move from place to place as he cannot stand or walk. Home Matters has been with us since he arrived home and it has been quite a journey for all of us. Home Matters has been so thoughtful and responsive for every turn in the road. I found myself and my husband having to deal with life turned upside down and Home Matters has been the rock we could lean on. Did we face some personnel problems along the way? Yes, but we were able to work them through as a team. Our journey continues and we feel very blessed to have Home Matters with us as we move forward.

The team at Home Matters is outstanding. We needed someone to help out in the mornings for the 8 days I was away. The caregivers were punctual, friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. We were so pleased with them, we recimmended them to my father in law. They will now be helping him out for a few days.

We have 2 caregivers that take care of my mother-in-law, they are very good with her. It also helps my husband and me to get out of the house to run errands and we know she is in good hands and we don’t worry about leaving her, I am so glad we found these caregivers

Overall we were pleased with our experience a few things could be better. If a new caregiver was coming we needed to know with a call beforehand because at the end of life consistency is important. I think having a few more very skilled caregivers are needed like the four we had so if one wasn’t available we would know they were just as good and we could meet them and decide if they were the right fit for us. The ones that we experienced were excellent felt like we could trust their decisions at all times with no worries.

Home Matters has been a bright light during a tough time for my family. After a variety of transitions and difficulties regarding our parents’ health and care needs, Home Matters has repeatedly come in to save the day and save our sanity. They worked quickly to set up in-home care so my mom could come home from the hospital while we awaited placement in a care facility and then again to help us when the transition to assisted living wasn’t going so great. I can honestly say I don’t know where we’d be without them. My parents love their caregivers and have feel so safe and happy with their presence as they get used to new living arrangements. Thank you!!!

I feel safe getting out of the shower, and the caregivers get tasks done that I cannot do myself anymore. Oh and they take the initiative and with compassion.

We liked that we had 2 consistent caregivers throughout our home hospice experience. These caregivers got to know our loved one, showed attention to details and checked in with us before they left. We were very happy with their care. There was one caregiver who came twice that did not meet our expectations and management was open to discussing that situation and it was resolved.

This agency has come out to my sister-in-law's home to help her with her daily needs. They come out as we need them to. The caregivers do a good job and are well trained. They will help her with errands, cooking, driving. Sometimes will help with a shower. They always showed up on time. I would recommend this agency.

This is the second month that my family has been using Home Matters Caregiving for my Mom and so far it’s going well. We decided to go with home care because it’s been able to keep the cost of caring for my mom lower than going to a facility. We have about 4 different caregivers that come by, 2 out of 4 of them have been great, and 1 of them comes around more often than the others. There were some issues with 1 caregiver that they sent us and I feel like they should’ve vet them a bit more before allowing them to work, but they’ve since rectified the situation and we’re happy with the new caregivers we’ve been given. When they are working with my mom, they seem very easy to communicate with and knowledgeable about how to care for her. Someone will come each day and stay for about 8 hours while me or my family work. They do different things with mom, like take her out for ice cream. I thought they would clean a little bit more than they do but we’re still pretty happy with it. It’s been able to keep the cost of taking care of my mom down by using home care. Overall, I would recommend them if you’re looking for home care.

My dad ended up not using this company in the end decision because they did not have everything my mother would have needed like the physical therapy. The staff where very helpful and understanding with my family and I. Overall it was not there care that was the problem it was the lack of options they had available.

I was happy to go and meet the staff here. I wanted to make sure that this service would be able to give me someone that would be able to take care of my mother's needs. I liked the staff and the caretakers were very nice. I would recommend the services of cleaning, cooking and personal assistance with this service. It is a great value for families.
