A wonderful place to relax and retire!
My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday Oakwood Hills. The staff at this facility are wonderful and caring, the facility is well kept and the meals are great. We don't have a single complaint. The activities and value for cost are also great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Excellent care at Holiday
The food was good. I saw plenty of activites. Its expensive but for what they provide, it's a fair price. They offer three meals per day/snacks., and they have a kitchen available for residents to cook.

Holiday Oakwood Hills review
Overall experience is good. They are to clean our rooms once a week.my apt. Has been vacuumed once since we came. They can t get workers. They cleaned my bathrooms 2 times.

Short staffed
They are having staffing problems just as everyone else is. They tell you things that you do not actually get such as weekly housekeeping. The food is not very good and there is not much of a selection at all. They are not able to follow through with the things that were promised up front.

An Independent Living Community, Doing The Best They Can To Provide Assistance in a Challenging Time Due to the COVID19
The meals have been being served in the resident's rooms. The meals are served 5-6, and it can be difficult to find spots in the dining room.
There is one elevator in the community, and the residents do have to get down to the dining room early to make sure they can find a spot at a table.
This is great for independent living. They don't have 24 hour nursing or medical staffing for the residents. The only time the medical staff is available is during the day, and then they have an on call team.
The manager, [name removed], is fantastic and has been extremely helpful. The community is doing their best with the pandemic and staff turnover. Overall, I have been fairly pleased with what they have been able to do.

When he went to look, the facility provided exactly what he needed. It is "al a carte" so extra things you may need are add on charges which was perfect for him. The apartments are on the smaller side, but it is enough for what he needs. I really like how they provide the level of care that the individual person needs. I would recommend to others.

If It Is the Best Decision for Your Loved One, Then This is a Good Choice
My mom seems to like the food. The care staff I feel like I can trust them, they seem nice.
There seems to be a lot of activities available for the residents. I like the walking areas the community has.
The community has been a positive experience for our loved one. The staff knows my loved one's name, and keeps me updated with communication on my loved one. I'm happy to know my loved one is here.

Fantastic facility, fantastic staff
We chose Oakwood Hills because it just seemed like the best fit for her needs. The price was also reasonable for everything that you get. When we did our initial tour, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a really good ambassador program, when a new resident comes they have someone they are paired with to show them the ropes, they are like a big family. I would absolutely recommend.

This was a great place. The dining room was very large and bright with all the windows. The snack counter is a great idea. There were many gathering places for large groups. The library was beautiful. There were puzzle tables on every floor. The main floor had 2 different coffee stations and seating for people to gather. The residents were very happy and staff talked with many of the residents as we walked around.

Mom Had Adjusted Well To This Community
My mother has adjusted well with her move to this community. It is working out well for her, and I'am comfortable with her move to this community. This is a nice facility, and whenever I visit everything is always clean. They have a nice staff at this community. They are helpful whenever needed, and have been very friendly when I visit. The experience is going very well, and I would recommend this community. My mother is safe, and in good hands here.

Loves Living Here
Mom loves living in this community she is having a great time living there. They keep her busy with all the activities and events that they offer. She loves the residents and the staff. Everyone is so friendly and happy. I guess she is liking the food I have not heard any complaints in regards to the food so it must be good.

Very Good Overall, with One Concern
My mother has appreciated that meals and weekly cleaning are included, which makes life easier for her. Having a balcony overlooking the woods and wildlife is a definite plus, and her apartment is bright and spacious with plenty of storage. She is getting acquainted with more and more residents through the wide variety of activities. My one concern is that she needed to receive more complete training for using her emergency call button, which she has needed on one occasion. She believed that she had pushed the button to summon help, when it actually needed to be depressed farther. This situation delayed her receiving the help she needed; but now she understands how the button works.

Nice Community, Smaller Than Others
My tour of this community went pretty well. This is a smaller community compared to others. From what I saw the community appeared to be well maintained. The staff was nice and friendly. It was good experience, but it just wasn't the place for my mother and her needs. Very nice place overall.
