The Florry House is a small residential care home located in Plant City, Florida, in Hillsborough County. Plant City is nicknamed the 'Winter Strawberry Capital of the World' with a festival usually in February of each year with attendees from around the world. Plant City is also home to one of the highest-yielding strawberry farms in Florida. A 5-star rated hospital is located within 8 miles of the residence. Other medical providers and recreational venues are available in Tampa (25 miles to the west) or Lakeland (14 miles to the east) of our residence.
The Florry House was opened in 2010 and is certified for assisted living care and licensed for limited mental health care. The Florry House has a nurse on staff; our caregivers have training and experience in care of seniors with Alzheimer's or physical/mental disability needs. Due to our home's maximum capacity of 5, each resident can expect individual attention and dependable care in our group home setting.
In addition to 24-hour care and supervision of our seniors, our home offers many other amenities, including:
- 3 meals a day plus snacks are provided
- Transportation for medical care is available
- Showers are equipped for wheelchair access
- On-site and off-site recreational activities are planned
