Ezra Home care provided caregivers for my mother for several years and then for my dad for over a year. Their caregivers were kind, patient, and helpful. They were also reliable. They performed personal care, light housekeeping, and provided rides or accompanied my parents for shopping and doctor appointments. The administrative office was responsive and efficient. When my mom moved into long-term care, my dad felt he did not need as much care, but in hindsight, [name removed] said that [name removed] would have been flexible in arranging fewer hours. I would recommend [name removed]home care highly.

Ezra Home Care is an extremely professional organization with exceedingly kind staff and caregivers. The communication and flexibility of the office was spectacular and adjusted to the unpredictable nature of home elder care situations with grace. When my parent recovered and no longer needed services, I felt as though we said goodbye to a cherished member of our extended family. I am so grateful for their expertise and know we can rely upon them as needed in the future.

I was in desperate need of home health care for my elderly mother on a very short-term basis. Ezra Home Care came through when no other agency in the Newton area could. The staff at Ezra bent over backward to help someone who was not a client and with the understanding it was a very short-term need. [name removed] (VP of Sales & Marketing) was extremely responsive and transparent about the worker shortage and the possibility they might not be able to place someone on such short notice (24 hours) and for only a few days. Within two hours of my inquiry, she called me back to let me know they could help. Everyone I dealt with, including the owner, [name removed], and [name removed], the Client Support Manager, were professional, caring and responsive. Thanks to the team at Ezra, my mother was able to stay at home safely, and I had peace of mind from 2,000 miles away.

I can't say enough positive things about Ezra. I recently needed to hire a home health aide to assist my mother on an emergency basis. I am very pleased with the experience I have had with Ezra Home Care. Both aides are very friendly, attentive , and able to anticipate [name removed]'s needs. Because [name removed] is fairly independent with his care they spend time helping me with light housework, etc. They are very vigilant about handing him his medications ( I leave them out every morning.). They, also, sit and chat with him about subjects he is interested in and try to keep him stimulated and alert. They strongly encourage him to go to the gym everyday and follow his routine. ( the gym is in the building ). They make him his lunch everyday which has been a challenge because of his recent diagnosis of diabetes and his fussiness about food. They have much more patience than I do. Very importantly, they are a huge help transferring his wheelchair into my car for outside appointments since I have a very bad back ! I have felt a huge sense of feeling he his safe whenever I leave the building.

When I was in need of immediate assistance in a desperate situation after hours with my terminally ill mother, EZRA reached out with compassion and promptness and provided immediate critical assistance to my mother-- and were incredibly supportive of me as well. They appeared at my door promptly and provided the most wonderful aide to assist my mother with a tenderness and care I could only marvel at. I will be forever grateful to them for making my mother’s last hours on earth ones of caring and compassion.

Amidst such a trying time in my family's life, finding Ezra was like coming across and oasis in the desert. When I did need them, they were incredibly responsive and met with me to better understand my mother’s situation in order to select the best caregiver based on her needs. I felt like they really listened to me and worked hard to find the right caregiver match. The caregivers were very professional and did their best to care for my mother, including leaving a detailed written log each day so that we got a better understanding of her baseline. In addition, the Ezra team was incredibly helpful advising me overall on my mother’s living situation. They helped me navigate and submit for her long term care insurance and were always there for support 24/7 literally. One night (a Saturday night) my mother did not want the caregiver to enter her apartment and someone from Ezra’s office was at her apt within 15 mins to help resolve the situation. To sum it up I was pleasantly surprised to find such an incredibly supportive team of people who were so caring, supportive, highly responsive all while providing caring, quality care givers. In addition, they had a profession office staff and organized billing procedures. Overall, I would highly recommend Ezra Home Care.

EZRA Homecare and its outstanding staff was pivotal in my ability to return to work last year when my husband returned from the hospital after a lengthy stay for an unexpected illness. The caregivers are professional, experienced, and incredibly caring. Over the the last year my husband has made great strides in his recovery largely due to the dedication of our caregivers that follow through on “homework” from the various therapists that continue to follow his progress. They supervise exercises, play brain games and even discuss the Red Sox, though many were not necessarily fans. They are highly knowledgeable and can offer tips and solutions for issues we have around the house and or when we travel to appointments. The folks at EZRA are responsive and flexible if we need extra hours or a day off. On the few occasions when a substitute has been sent in, they are completely briefed on my husband’s needs and can step in with little assistance from me. We feel so, so fortunate to have this wonderful, caring company.

I am 77 years old and disabled with ALS. Ezra Home Care provides my wife & I with a home health aide for 4 hours 6 days a week. The home health aide helps me get out of bed, helps to give me a shower, helps me to get dressed, and helps me to exercise.I use a power chair and the home health aide accompanies me on a 2.5 mile "walk" in my neighborhood weather permitting. Additionally, the home health aide does some household chores such as unloading the dishwasher, making my bed, changing the sheets, doing the laundry, "swiffering" the floors.If and when an issue may arise, the office staff is both responsive and helpful. I have been a very satisfied customer since July 2018.

I was strongly motivated to write this letter; having worked as a healthcare professional myself, and having been the healthcare proxy for both my mother and my uncle, I know that there are many families currently making an important decision about their loved ones' care. I hired Ezra Home Care 4 months ago to help care for my Mother, based on a referral from her assisted living facility. During this time, Ezra has really come through for us and I recommend them without hesitation. They are highly responsive, providing appropriate care when you need it whether it involves a few hours of companionship or around the clock care. We have faced more than one crisis when we suddenly needed 24 hour assistance. In a matter of hours, Ezra pulled together a great caregiver team allowing my mother to come directly home from the hospital. The Client Support Staff ([name removed] and [name removed] in our case) have taken a genuine interest in my mother, stopping by frequently for in-person visits. They provide regular updates to the family and respond almost immediately to every inquiry or concern. By getting to know their clients and the family, they have been able to identify caregivers that best fit my mother’s needs and interests. Our family is fortunate to have Ezra by our side and thank them for everything they have done for us.

Ezra has partnered with me in the at-home care of my very elderly parent for the past 8 months. From the first contact through the present, I have felt seriously listened to and cared for in regards to the needs of my parent. Ezra's management staff is exceptionally responsive, thoughtful, client-focused, and creative in problem-solving. The caregivers are well-trained, professional, and compassionate. It was late October, I had received an urgent phone call from my brother. I had known that my mother had just scheduled knee surgery. My brother continued to tell me more – my father was incapable of getting out of bed, due to tremendous back pain. Nobody else was there at home to care for my parents. They were effectively trapped in their home, unable to perform basic services for themselves. It was then that someone referred me to Ezra Home Care. When I spoke to my contact, [name removed], she was in the middle of an important convention, but that did not stop her sincere desire to help! While others would have said that they would call back later, [name removed] listened to me describe how serious the situation was in the middle of the convention, and right away, she arranged for someone to arrive at my parents’ house and offer assistance, immediately! Someone was with my parents, day and night, to help them take care of themselves, and to be there in case a more serious emergency were to occur. As great as the actual care was, what was equally terrific was [name removed]’s support, insisting that they would be available anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
