Eaton Senior Communities in Lakewood, CO is NOT the place anyone should think of having a loved one move into! Not only are the living conditions bad, but they were written up in Westword's, "Colorado Places With the Most Repeat COVID Outbreaks." Mom lived there and it was AWFUL! 1. They somehow gained access to her mail and held onto it. She missed a VERY important government deadline as a result. 2. They refused to tell a pharmacy delivery person how to get to her apartment so she was without her daily meds for WEEKS. She needs her inhaler, blood pressure, thyroid, medications DAILY! The same person that got ahold of her mail is the same person that refused to tell the delivery driver how to get to her apartment. She placed it on a shelf downstairs by her desk. Mom couldn't leave her apartment to go get her meds, because she had break-through covid at the time. Wouldn't let me post all my review. Google Eaton Senior Communities & read my Review for them & pic.

Denver is lucky to have such an amazing place. The staff really cares about their residents, and the residents care about the staff. I personally know residents and staff members and every single one is compassionate, hardworking and dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors in the community.

Eaton Senior Communities has been home for eight years now. It is wonderful! Yes, we have a mandatory food program (I am in the Independent Living), and one can find plenty of healthy food options if one is willing to give it some thought. It is certainly better than shopping, figuring what to make, making it and cleaning up after! As I am unable to stand up long enough to cook meals, it is a great aid to me. There are selections in the Grab n Go for the times there is not dining room service and, of course, one can always get their food to go. There are so many activities here, if you are bored in these buildings (independent and assisted living) it is your own fault! In my opinion, the staff is caring and helpful with an emphasis on aging well in place. I love it here and urge anyone interested to come see for yourself!

Living at Eaton Senior Communities has given me joy and contentment for almost 5 years! I believe it’s the LOCAL OWNERSHIP, monthly food and resident meetings. Our peaceful church, part of the property, besides weekly services, is there for memorial services and concerts. Pastor Jim Ward serves our ecumenical community and usually greets us at lunch. There are no outside services that our competent and busy staff can’t find for each resident’s unique and personal needs. They never stop looking for health and wellness providers to give us seminars. Regular visits from a licensed masseuse, acupuncturist and a veterinarian for our pets, saves many trips away. Our 2 well-organized libraries and the scheduled county bookmobile do the same. Our bus goes free to grocery stores and restaurants (and to the Dollar Store for entertainment!).

May 2, 2016We are sorry to hear your experience regarding management; we strive everyday to do the best possible job we can for our seniors. Thank you for taking the time to share this issue and feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further. Jessica Culey [removed]
If you are a Fundamentalist Christian of a Pre-Civil Rights Era mind-set and you are not on a low carbohydrate, high protein diet and don't mind what you eat---you will do find here. The food is awful. Assuming you are on the Independent living side of Eaton. However, if you are wanting Assisted Living and are on a low salt, low carbohydrate, high protein diet this place is definitely, not a match for you. Eaton Senior Communities has a really bad record relative to treating its dissenters quite harshly and encouraging them to leave. In 2010 Eaton Senior Communities was cited for neglect and abuse of its tenants--three of whom died from neglect and abuse. Another was left unattended on the floor for almost a day when he returned from the hospital and was not checked in. Overall, I would not recommend this place in terms of its Assisted Living side.

This place is a nightmare for people with special dietary needs. Just don't complain about the food and you will be safe--otherwise you might not make it out alive!

People nice, place nice, but too many infirm people not in the healthy shape my mom is in, and it's in a tower. Didn't like the 3 mandatory meals.

A Place for Mom has scored Eaton Terrace Residences 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
