The housekeeping is good - laundry is done once week unless you pay more for it. This has been an issue, it would be nice if the in-laws were able to do their own laundry. Communication is good, they are definitely accessible. The move in process was easy, they took care of everything they said they would do before they moved in. As for the food, choices are given, but they don't like the options. I think it is personal preference. Overall, we would recommend the facility to others. Getting to and from a variety of local attractions using our scheduled shuttle bus services is a breeze. In a matter of minutes you could enjoy a day of shopping at the Stirling Lafayette Shopping Center or take a trip to the George Dupuis Recreation Center and Brown Memorial Park.</p>

<p>When you step into Courtyard Retirement and Assisted Living, you’re greeted with the smells of home cooked meals and freshly baked goods. You’ll find every room is filled with natural light and decorated with cozy, country-style decor. We take great pride in cultivating a community that fosters true southern hospitality through a warm, friendly environment.</p>
<p>Medical services on site include medication management, access to 24-hour nurse care, and assistance with daily activities, among other services. More advanced services, such as physical or occupational therapy, are available at the Therapy Center on-site. Whether it be long-term or temporary, respite care, we’re here to provide a safe, caring environment for all.</p>
<p>Our community culture is enriched with several on-site, nature-focused activities, arts and crafts, baking, and so much more. Residents can spend their morning tending to our raised bed gardens and socializing, or enjoy an afternoon of fishing at the community pond. <p>Courtyard Retirement and Assisted Living provides <em>Level 3 adult residential care</em>. In the state of Louisiana, these terms are defined as follows:</p>

<dd>Adult residential care refers to facilities that provide adult residential care for compensation to two or more adults. Adult residential care includes but is not limited to the following services: lodging, meals, medication administration, intermittent nursing services, assistance with personal hygiene, assistance with transfers and ambulation, assistance with dressing, housekeeping, and laundry. There are four levels of adult residential care:</dd></dl><p></p>
<p><strong>Level 1 - Personal Care Homes:</strong> Provides adult residential care to two but not more than eight residents in a setting that is designed similarly to a single-family dwelling<br>
<strong>Level 2 - Shelter Care Homes:</strong> Provides adult residential care to nine or more residents but no more than 16 in a congregate setting that does not provide independent apartments equipped with kitchenettes<br>
