Our loved one is eating well there so we have to assume the meals are good, and even though they choose not to participate in the activities when we visit they always have a lot going on. The value for cost and for what we paying it seems to be good.
Caring staff Margaret G - Child of resident/client
Due to our loved ones health they are no longer there, but during her staff the staff members were super friendly and nice. They really seemed to show genuine care for our loved one.

My first intial tour was amazing however, when I came to tour the facility on a Saturday it was terrible. I noticed they were understaffed . It was an extremely chaotic environment. There were no activities going on and the place smelled of urine. The workers were pushing 2 wheelchairs at once and I can't imagine how there backs felt. I believe I came at lunch time because the residents were in the dining rooms. The ladies in the back dining room were moving from person to person feeding them. They would give one resident a spoon of food and then move to the next. I would not dare place my mother here

My mother has been a resident of Chisholm Place for five months. Her overall health has improved greatly since her residence began. My siblings and I attribute this to her increased activity level and the good nutrition and care provided by Chisholm Place assisted living. The staff is friendly and approachable. There is a great family friendly atmosphere evident from the moment one enters the facility. The hallways are wide and welcoming, with reading and activity areas scattered throughout the building. The building surrounds a lovely courtyard. The size of Chisholm Place is perfect for those with limited mobility or those who might get lost or overwhelmed in a larger facility. There are activities scheduled throughout the week. Transportation is available for medical appointments. There are resident socials and Family Nights on a regular basis. My family is very pleased with the care our mother receives at Chisholm Place.

I have a mother and handicapped sister that live there. You can tell that they genuinely care about them. My mother has dementia and they really try to engage with her by talking even though some days she just has a blank stare.
With my sister who is not severally handicapped they allow her to go with them on supply runs, allow her to make the facility popcorn in their popcorn machine. They include here in events and sometimes just make her feel good ask her what she thinks.

My dad moved from independent living to Chisholm Place assisted living. He needed the assistance and care that is available at Chisholm Place. The staff is professional and caring. The food is very good and the dining room is nice. We have also appreciated the transportation to and from doctor's appointments. Chisholm Place is a great place for Dad.

Unfortunately my Mother only was there for 2 months. After living in the same home for 50 years it was a huge change. She appreciated everything at the facility. I highly recommend Chisolm!

Chisholm Place is a very clean, caring, safe, loving, family environment for your loved one.
When you enter the building you will receive a warm hello from the friendly ladies at the front desk and they will ask if they might help you in anyway. As you walk down the halls you will be greeted by friendly happy residents and care givers.
The nurses and office staff are very professional and truly care about the needs of each resident. They go above and beyond helping your family member feel welcome and well cared for each day.
Each resident brings their own furniture and decorations to make their room feel just like home. Delicious meals are prepared and shared in the dining room three times a day.
There are game times, Bible studies, singings and special family events. Helpful staff at Chisholm Place are reliable and consistent to come to the resident's room each time the call button is pushed.
Chisholm is a quality home for your loved one. I highly recommend it !

My 91 year old cousin is living here and she is so very happy! Everyone is kind, helpful and attentive. Her favorite part is that "the food tastes good!" Those of us caring for her are incredibly thankful for the wonderful staff at Chisholm Place!

My aunt lived at Chisholm and had a wonderful experience. She participated in cards dominoes and had wonderful care. She loved the workers and they loved her. It was a great experience for her since she had lived alone for many years. The nurses loved her and cared deeply for her. I truly enjoyed the family activities that ae held monthly. The residents were all extremely polite and concerned for each other. The meals were tasty and everyone cares for the residents. Thank you Chisholm for a wonderful experience.

My aunt lived for approximately five years in Chisholm Place and could not have been attended to by a more attentive, professional and loving staff. The facilities are spotlessly clean, the food wholesome and delicious, the activities fun and engaging. But most important is the constant love and engagement from the staff working there. They took my aunt from a withdrawn, solitary person and turned her into a happy and active member of that community.
My aunt suffered from dementia and yet, I believe her last years were some of the happiest of her life. My family feels a deep and profound sense of gratitude to all the hardworking members of Chisholm Place

My Mother was able to experience the benefits of Chisholm Place. The staff was fantastic and made her feel like one of the family. She had lived in one home for 52 years and the folks at Chisholm made it a very smooth transition. Un fortunately she has passed but they took great care of her until the end. I would recommend Chisholm to any one that needs assistance.

We found Chisholm Place over two years ago for my Dad. I can't say enough good things about this facility and the staff. They've been a God send for Dad and his family. Rooms are nice, food is very good, staff is qualified, knowledgeable and caring. Dad has recently had to move on to a higher level of care but we will miss Chisholm Place and the entire staff.
Chisholm Place is an answer to my prayers!

My parents moved to Chisholm Place about 3 yrs ago. I can't say enough good things about this facility. It's a small community so everyone knows everyone in the building. The management and staff are nothing short of phenomenal. They care for all their residents as if they are family members. I've never seen a staff member pass a resident without talking to them and asking if they can get something for them or help them with anything. Someone checks on my parents every couple hours but if they aren't feeling good or have a special need, they check on them more often & assist with anything they need help with. Beautiful building, always clean. The food is great and served restaurant style in a dining room 3 times a day. It's a great place for social interaction, the residents truly care about each other as well. There are activities for a variety of interests, always something going on. Chisholm Place is exactly the kind of place I was looking for my parents to live. Well educated staff in every position as well as being extremely patient and loving. My parents have always feel safe and well cared for. But most important they considerate it "home" in every way. THANK YOU Chisholm Place!!!!!
Thank you Chisholm Place! A wonderful home for our mother Gene and Carolyn Shelhamer - Loved one of resident/client
My mother is living here and we feel like she is receiving the best care possible. The staff and administration are so helpful and we really couldn't ask for a better situation for [Removed]. The building is beautifully decorated and the grounds are carefully landscaped, so that she has a beautiful courtyard just outside her window. We are so happy and grateful that Abilene has a facility like this. [Removed] will be 102 years old later this year, and we feel like this is a really great place for her care.
Very Pleased With Chisholm Place

My family is happy with the Chisholm Place facility and its caring staff. My in-laws have been residents for almost 2 years. The administrative personnel: [Removed], always take time to speak to us and make us aware of particular needs our family members have. [Removed], the activities director works hard to include residents in planned events, as well as spur-of-the-moment ones, her concern for each resident is obvious. [Removed] and her nursing staff take particular care with my in-laws and watch for signs they aren't feeling well, many times averting a crisis situation. Employees who take care of the facility daily operation are respectful and loving toward each person living at CP. I don't know if "an ability to be unflappable" is on the job description for employees, but to a person, the people working at Chisholm Place seem to have that quality. Grace under pressure and preservation of the dignity of each resident seems to be the philosophy of Chisholm Place.
Good family night.

Tonight is family night, wonderful brisket and cole slaw and potato salad. dessert was watermelon or apple pie. All the residents had guests and the dining hall was running over. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It was good to see such a crowd. Singing was fun since we all had a book and all participated.
They take excellent care of my aunt and she is loved and they are her family since we live a distance from Abilene.
