Our situation was not unique. My father in law would not consider moving out of his home and refused to visit any Assisted Living facility. At 97 years of age he needed more care than we could give him. He found the loving and caring he needed at Canyon Trails and was so happy to be there on the first morning he moved in. Trust your loved ones without hesitation to [name removed] and all her staff. They allowed my father in law to smile and be happy again. Staff is refreshed every two weeks on latest techniques on Alzheimer's and dementia residents. Very friendly and professional staff. Great communication from manager of the staff on my mothers condition from week to week. Residents able to share rooms to keep cost down. Lots of daily activities. Only improvement is to make it easier to schedule an in house appointment with the hair stylist. Nothing else negative to say than the hair stylist. Great community and staff. We are very happy about our experience with Canyon Trails.

We had a positive tour at Canyon Trails. I liked the people there. Since they didn't offer fall protection technology, I was just concerned about my loved one's safety as a fall risk.
I had a great tour experience with Canyon Trails - out of the many places I toured this one was my second choice. The staff were great and followed up afterwards to check in.

I have only been able to visit a few times but every time I have gone to visit the community is always clean and well kept. The staff members have been so kind and helpful so far, they really make you feel important and make you feel that all your questions and concerns are heard which has been really comforting. Our loved one says the food has been great so far, we have not heard of any complaints. Based on all the feedback she gives us, she seems to be really happy and we know she is well cared for

I would highly recommend this community for your loved one. They have activities like puzzles, cooking, lectures, music and more for the residents to have a good time. The staff are very caring and they were always available for the residents and their needs. The meals were okay but not the best to my loved one. The tour was excellent and they gave me all of the information that I needed.

March 2, 2022Thank you for the beautiful review. We love having you as part of the Canyon Trails family, Ann & Susan
We chose Canyon Trails because from the moment we walked in for our firs tour, they felt like family. It was a very welcoming experience. I really think the staff stand up for their residents and go out of their way to take care of them, they were taking care of my mom before she even got there. I would highly recommend to others looking.

December 22, 2021Thank you for the wonderful Review. I am blessed with a wonderful, warm caring staff who always go above and beyond taking care of our residents.
We visited other lovely communities and interviewed still more by phone. However, the moment we were met by the team at Canyon Trails, we knew we had found a new home for our mother. Both the sales director and the administrator made us feel like we had just found some long lost family members who could not wait for Mom to come live with them. Also, everyone we encountered on the tour of the facility greeted us with a huge smile and welcome. The decision made, it took quite a bit of unexpected time before we could get Mom there. The Canyon Trails team supported us every step of the way, at one point saying," You are family now and we take care of our family!" Mom is now in residence and we can happily breathe again!

October 5, 2021Thank you so much for the very kind words about the Canyon Trails community. We are so happy to have your mom [name removed] living with us. We hope to always make you, [name removed] and your mom feel like you're part of our family. Thank you for sharing that you can now "breathe again!"
When we toured this community we felt that this facility did not compare to the facility that we chose for our loved one.
We toured a lot of places and out of the ones we saw, we found Canyon Trails to be the least desirable. They were very pushy with us.
This review is being written 7 months after the visit. The primary reason I didn't consider this for my mother was during the tour, there was one section with a very strong smell of urine. When I commented on it, our guide said, "I didn't notice it." I thought - either she's so used to it she doesn't smell it, or she thinks I have a vivid imagination. Neither reason was acceptable.

This is a business that has been renovated to lure more residents. The staff is poorly trained and communication is dismal. Residents and families are mislead and charged for services not needed or rendered. Residents seem miserable and most all of the Memory Care residents congregate at the main door trying to leave. Watching them bang on the window is heartbreaking to see. There are so many better choices for your loved ones, please keep looking!

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Location was too far from our home and felt too large of a facility for my mom.

We have moved my mother into Canyon Trails, and we are super happy with it so far. It is very clean, very professionally run, and the caregivers always do an excellent job dealing with whatever comes up. My mom is crazy about the caregivers there, and she also seems pretty satisfied with the food. I haven’t had a meal there yet, but it always looks good. The community is definitely well-maintained and clean. I’d definitely recommend it to others.

The staff is very caring. They took care of my father as well as my sister and I. [Removed] was there with lunch for me as I fixed up dads room, and also a big hug. [Removed] is helping my sister and I to navigate this new part of our life. [Removed] cleared the floor when our dad announced everyone had to leave because it was his house. They truly care for the residents and the families. Thank you!

Staff is good but corporate management's priorities after "picture perfect" remodel and hiring of sales staff is being guestioned by staff, residents, and their families. One elevator has been working sporadically and has now been out of commission for a few months forcing patients with limited, i.e. "painful" mobility and their caregivers and family make very long walks to elevator on other side of building and back to get to dining room, lobby, activities etc. Not sure why corporate team doesn't hire an outside company to fix/replace.

Canyon Trails was a very nice and brightly decorated community that we toured. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We chose another community based on my parents being able to transition into memory care.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. She absolutely loving her new living environment which is most important to me. My mother has been participating in many of the activities they have to offer as well as getting her hair done every two weeks. Bingo and the poker seem to be her favorite with her new friends that she has made. Overall I am very pleased with her experience and would recommend it to anyone.
