About the facility
AZ State Veteran Home

Arizona State Veteran Home is a state-owned and operated community situated next to the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Administration Medical Center, offering immediate access to medical care. The two-story community also neighbors Steele Indian School Park where residents can fish in the pond, stroll the garden, or picnic at the ramadas. Plus, downtown Phoenix is less than 15 minutes, offering residents a variety of shopping centers, restaurants, and museums to explore.

The community offers long-term care and rehabilitative services to Arizona’s veterans and veterans’ spouses. Caring staff provides nursing, therapy, and social services. Rehabilitative, physical, occupational, and speech therapies are available to improve residents’ mental and physical abilities. A memory care program, Namaste, also offers a person-centered approach for the late stages of dementia.

Arizona State Veteran Home has 200 residential rooms. Complimentary telephones, cable televisions, and DVD players are available in each room. Residents have a wide array of movies to choose from, or they can connect their personal devices to the free Wi-Fi to stream. Residents can also join one another for regular movie nights in the theater.
