Situated just outside of the Chicago loop in the village of Westmont, Advent Home Care provides in-home care to senior citizens. Providing in-home care allows seniors to stay comfortable and connected to the things and places they prefer. With plenty of local and chain restaurants, big box stores and outside entertainment like parks, seniors can continue to enjoy the perks of their community.Through the DuPage County Senior Citizen Council, seniors can access services like Meals on Wheels, friendly phone calls, minor home repairs, and more. Westmont is also a dementia friendly community providing residents with access to dementia caregiver support groups, day services and more.
In-home care includes services like safe, reliable transportation, companionship, and help with everyday chores and activities. That can look like medication management, laundry and housekeeping, cooking and meal preparation, and more depending on the needs of each senior. Having a caregiver provide services in residence allows seniors to stay comfortable in their own home while receiving the care they need.
In some cases, respite care is available.

The lady I hired comes out a few times a week and we are working out some additional days for care. She does a wonderful job caring for my husband. She helps my husband with administering medications. She also helps my husband with light exercise and going for walks. A Place for Mom, thank you so much for being there!

I interviewed with them, but when they came out it was just one person. It felt a little stand offish, and just a little less comfortable. It didn't feel like the best fit for me.
