Our experience with Adelaide
We chose Adelaide of Newton Centre because of the space, I thought it was exactly what he needed, it was open and spacious. He liked to walk and they have a really nice loop that he was able to do within the space which was really nice. The rooms were all private rooms to which is great.
I felt I was making medical diagnosis on my loved one. They do have doctors that come in and the nurses that are there are lovely, but you do have to pay attention since it is not a medical facility. They were very helpful with the hospice transition.
Overall I would recommend this facility to others looking.

Our experience with Adelaide

I love everything about Adelaide. We found them when we were at a very rough stage with my father in his disease progression and many other assisted living facilities would not accept him as a resident. Adriana was extremely patient and understanding and helpful with us in our time of crisis and was able to get our dad approved. Adelaide offers everything that I imagined assisted living for people with dementia would be. The only reason I gave a 4 for value for the money is that I don't believe it should be quite that expensive to get that level of care for your loved ones but unfortunately in this day and age it is. If you can afford it, Adelaide is definitely the best place for a parent that needs daily living assistance.

Our families experience
Our loved one moved here after coming from a different facility and we are just having a night and day experience. Since Adelaide of Newton Centre is only focused on memory care our loved one is getting the attention and care he needs. They labeled him as just a mild dementia patient where our loved ones previous community labeled them high risk. They have been able to manage him medication properly, as well as keep up constant communication.

Why memory care can be better then home care.
The staff is great, they are very caring and have a lot of patience, if i could give them a 10 out of 10 stars i would. This community is a little on the pricey side but the care services are exceptional. COVID has affected the activities somewhat, the first four months they were completely shut down. Now they are doing fitness classes, a bunch of arts and crafts, as well as cooking and gardening classes. They play a lot of different word games to try and help stimulate the mind. The residents also get to play bingo and listen to live musicians who are now playing outside. The staff has done a great job keeping the residents active and engaged during this time.
We have eaten there a couple of times and the food was always very fresh. They are very accommodating to our loved ones dietary restrictions. This community is very high end, exceptionally clean. We really liked how it have a more upscale vibe to it, the decor and space are very nice.
