The southernmost state in New England, Connecticut is a popular destination for residents of the New York metropolitan area looking for a scenic getaway — particularly during October, when fall colors are most vibrant. Known as the “Constitution State” for its nation-building contributions following the Revolutionary War, Connecticut is rich with historic Colonial landmarks in cities like Hartford and New London. The southern coastline along the Long Island Sound includes Hammonasset Beach State Park, as well as New Haven, the state’s second-largest city. Here you’ll find Yale University, the antique carousel at Lighthouse Point Park, and the famous New Haven-style thin crust pizza. Although Connecticut can be a bit more expensive than other states, you’ll find it to be a serene, picturesque escape from the big city and an excellent retirement destination.
The median monthly cost of a care home in Connecticut is about $3,300. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.

The staff here really makes me at ease. They are tremendously helpful and caring to me and my loved one. My loved one is transitioning very well. The people always keep me informed about anything or any progression that my loved one has made. They also offer a lot of activities. The food is good, but if there is a meal that my loved one does not like the chef will make what my loved one wants.

She has started to settle in well, she likes being part of the many activities they offer, she enjoys going to the dining room and the food and I have noticed just how friendly and attentive all the staff are here. They greet you when you're there to visit and they interact with all the residents so well. I would definitely recommend this community.
