This is a very nice place with very good care for the residents. I really like the staff at this community. The tour was great and they were able to show me everything that I needed and give me all of the information that I needed.

Monterey Peninsula III in Corona, CA
3.8

My dad's only been there about a month and a half. Overall, I'd have to say a four out of five. There were a lot of factors taken into account: location, convenience. I am very happy with their helpfulness and their ability to answer questions Their patients, including my father, are somewhat far along as far as mental decline so activities aren't really an option anyway.

Adelya Senior Home in Yorba Linda, CA
5.0

It was just divine timing that a spot had opened up there just before I was able to look at facilities. It was the first place we saw and it just felt completely right. Nothing has changed from that initial impression for any of us- it is clean, warm, and friendly. The residents are very well cared for. [Removed] are really sweet people to work with. I did not learn about it from the internet nor did I look online for reviews. I personally spoke by phone with a few family members of previous and current residents, and they were all very positive.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:

  • Help with personal care
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and outings
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry

Irvine offers all the resources and services of a modern urban area, such as shopping centers, unique restaurants, health care facilities, and public transportation options. The city is also home to a vast array of attractions, providing senior residents of all ages countless opportunities for an active retirement. Local festivals and nature areas, like the Irvine International Film Festival and the Limestone Canyon Regional Park, celebrate local culture and allow residents to enjoy the area’s Mediterranean climate year round.

In Irvine, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.
