An assisted living community is a residential living community which administers aid, support, and supervision to healthy individuals who do not need skilled nursing support. The services offered often include assistance with activities of daily living. Occupants may be kept under supervision and assessment. Under certain circumstances, communities may provide nursing care, “aging in place”, or hospice. In Pennsylvania, the annual median cost for an assisted living community is around $40,020 . This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include meals must meet recommended dietary allowances established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and must provide three meals a day.
