These include related services needed by residents, at least ten hours of social/recreational activities a week, access to dental/optical/social services, and protective supervision. Public assistance is available through Medicaid Frail Elderly 1915 © Waiver program, Home and Community-Based Services for Persons with Physical Disabilities 1915 (c) Waiver Program. Staff members receive education in a variety of fields. These areas include the needs of a communities resident population, first-aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include special meals as dictated by a physician or dietician, provide three meals a day, meals must be served in an appropriate manner, and all meals must meet the recommended dietary allowance of the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences.
