SunnyBrook has been home to my mother in law for almost two years. The facility is very nice, very clean and very friendly. The Thanksgiving meal was outstanding. [Name removed] goes above and beyond to be helpful. [Name removed] is a wonderful greeter.

Engage your brain at Sunnybrook
Wow Sunnybrook is on the cutting edge as of Feb 2020 Consumer Reports completed a study of more than 15,000 adults published in JAMA Psychiatry in 2018 - the results showed that dementia was less likely to develop when seniors are actively involved in intellectual or cognitive activities such as board games! Congrats to the activity director and staff that encourage the residents to enjoy such activities and thank you Sunnybrook for having such a wonderful facility which is engaging yet improves cognitive function of the residents! Kudos!

I have visited this facility a lot in the past 5-6 years. Much improved in the last 2-3 years. All the employees are great. Everything is very neat and clean. Lot of activities for residents. Great security.

Review of SunnyBrook at Muscatine
After visiting other facilities we chose Sunnybrook. The building is large, clean, open and friendly. Individual apts are larger and laid out well and homey. All have outside views or garden views. The meals are good and a variety. The administration and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and always enough for the amount of residents.

Review of Sunnybrook assisted Living
I am so happy my parents decided to move into Sunnybrook. The facility is so nice and well maintained that it helped them to quickly call it home. When my father passed 1 year later, we were thankful for the staff and all the love and support they showed. It is difficult decision to leave a home of 60+ years but Sunnybrook was the best decision for our family.

Very clean, our Mother was always well treated and the staff was very respectful and attentive. Her health kept her from being able to participate in most of the activities of which there were several. We've got nothing but good memories of her stay and care while at SunnyBrook.

My parents and younger brother moved to Sunny Brook in 2011 I believe. Mom and dad have since passed. My brother, [Removed] has special needs and is unable to function without care [Removed] much of what is offered at Sunny Brook. He would not have been able to stay in Muscatine , where he has lived all of his life, without a facility like Sunny Brook. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am that he has this place available to him. The building and staff are great and he loves it there.

I find the environment and employees to be very friendly and caring. The staff makes the residents feel good. They are flexible to accommodate individual needs. The facility offers a wide range of activities giving residents opportunity to be very active if desired. There seems to be a good balance of quiet and active during the day. Sometimes I feel they are understaffed but the staff gives it their all. My father moved to Sunnybrook 2 1/2 years ago and has adjusted well and I feel he thinks of it as home.

I would recommend this community.
The staff are always cheerful and they take good care of my mom. They are encouraging her to participate in some of the daily activities. The food is excellent and the community is well taken care of. The community is sunny and bright. These are some of the reasons we chose this community.

Wonderful Atmosphere
This is the only place I would send my loved ones in Muscatine. I liked the independence the residents were able to have. The staff is so welcoming and kind.

Wasn't the right fit!
The community was very well kept and clean. They offered many activities for the residents. My dad really enjoyed the food it was quite good. The staff lacked direction when caring for my dad. They didn't take the necessary time to help him feel comfortable in the community.

It's been wonderful. No major complaints at all. She is enjoying it also. We liked that they did take medicaid after 3 years. The other place we considered didn't take it at all.
