Our founders understand firsthand how difficult it can be to find the right care provider – someone with the expertise, training, and compassion to support your family at home. Sean Killeen and Emily Glowacki are friends who were inspired to create 2nd Family Main Line, as they wanted their own grandmothers to have access to amazing home care services. Emily utilized her knowledge as a registered nurse to create a safe and comprehensive care spectrum for seniors in need of home care. Our thoroughly trained and certified staff is reliable, caring, and compassionate.</p> <p>2nd Family supports transparency and is set apart from other home care providers by its use of internet technology. Through our online portal, client families are enabled access to their loved one’s plan information and digital copies of important documents. A wealth of information is provided, and families are even able to meet virtually with their loved one’s caregiver. Our caregiver portal provides caregivers with access to the newest healthcare resources, and also allows them to get to know clients before starting a new shift. There is even a message board, so that families and clients can easily get in touch with caregiving staff as needed. Free health consultations for clients are also offered. Emergency push-button call systems are even provided to clients as part of our premium care package.</p> <h3>Personal and Care Services</h3> <p>2nd Family Main Line offers personalized home care, which includes services such as meal planning and prepping, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, organizing, laundry, and home safety precautions. Local errands, lunch outings, and trips to senior centers are also provided. We offer nutritional guidance and counseling to seniors, as we understand nutrition is important and everyone’s dietary needs are different. We will even check the dates of the food in your pantry!</p> <p>At 2nd Family Main Line, each family is paired with a registered nurse care coordinator, who specializes in collaboration and communication, to personally oversee your care plan and ensure that you receive all the services you need. Some of the medical services we provide include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, hygiene, oral care, and grooming; incontinence care, coping assistance, and transportation to medical appointments. We also offer a 24-hour support nurse to clients in need of such care. Medication reminders and assistance in medical treatments are provided as well. Our caring staff is trained across the following services: Alzheimer’s and dementia care, CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant qualifications, and personalized in-home services for those in transition or recovery. All of our caregivers must also pass the ‘grandma test’ – would you put your grandma in our care?</p> <p>We also understand that not everyone’s needs are the same, and the levels of care they require may be from one visit a week to 24 hours a day. We offer a range of options for types and frequency of visits to best meet your needs, even if you just require help for a short period of time. Whatever your specific need, we have you covered.
