The Waterford on the Bay

We had a great visit here with Dad. He was impressed with the cleanliness and the decor of the room. He liked the waterfront suites with the walk in showers. We liked the all inclusive rates and we left a deposit for Dad to move in next month. The staff was friendly and we stayed for lunch which was tilapia and creamed spinach which was surprisingly tasty. Wait staff made us feel like we were in a restaurant. So far...so good!

I love the place, and the people. It's very reasonable. The billing department kept getting my name wrong but they corrected it, the billing is a little confusing, but they will explain it to you. She loved it from the moment she went in. It was clean, very clean. The people were very helpful and it looked like a four star hotel. The schedule shows quite a few activities. They really are attentive. From what I see and what I hear they really are great!

Wonderful location! Everyone there was wonderful too, very helpful to my brother. They tried to find solutions. The view was good and they accommodated my brother with a lovely room. The only thing that I feel could be better is if they integrated younger people. The admissions person Jessica Garcia was tremendously helpful. I think it's a fair price because of everything that is included. There were things to do but nothing that was interesting enough for my brother that was a little more stimulating. It had a fantastic view and was right on the water with a view of the bridge and it's on a street with lots of little restaraunts.

Our mother is a resident on the Dementia unit at Waterford on the Bay. We are extremely happy with her care. The staff watches her and makes sure she is clean, well dressed and comfortable. The staff from the kitchen allowed us to pick Mom's favorite foods. If she requests something else, they accommodate her. She likes her Italian food and loves their ravioli. The facility is always protecting all residents and with new Pandemic Virus has limited visiting hours. Mom is respected. She is often fearful and may respond inappropriate to care as she is hard of hearing, blind and in a wheel chair. The staff know her and discuss what they plan to do and why. This approach works best and Mom is cooperative. We feel we have chosen well for Mom. Mom has been at Waterford on the Bay for a year now.

We are very pleased with our choice of The Waterford for mom. The staff is attentive and compassionate and the administrator took time to answer all our questions and concerns. The residents are looked after and trhe facility is kept clean and organized. The staff nurse is very attentive & knowledgeable, and mom likes the food. The location is great and we look forward to the warm weather so as to talk a stroll outside.

We are very pleased with our choice of The Waterford on the Bay for my mother. The facilities are very clean, airy and bright, the staff friendly. Residents are encouraged to participate in the various recreational activities provided as well as encouraged to be as self-sufficient and independent as their individual health condition allows. The management has been very responsive and helpful and are always available to resolve any issues. In summary, I recommend the Waterford for your consideration without hesitation.

Of course this has been a bit of an adjustment for my Mom since moving into the Waterford but I am confident this is the best place fro her. The staff are very nice and helpful. From the admin to the caregivers everyone has been great! You can tell the staff really care about the well being of the residents which makes it an awesome place to be. Mom really likes the dining experience she has there and really seems to enjoy the food. I am very confident in the decision made for Mom to be at The Waterford and would definitely recommend.

From the onset, we were welcomed and felt part of a family. Jennifer is awesome. She offered support prior to my Dad moving in and continued to avail herself to our questions and concerns while he has been there. Dad had to be rushed to emergency care while residing at Signature, it was comforting to know that his case manager, Tracey was on top of his status and coordinating his care, even while at the hospital. She represented Dad's best interests and acted as primary contact where possible. The staff is friendly and the residents are interactive. The residence is clean and although you shouldn't be able to put a value on care and consideration... the affordability is appreciated.

My parents recently relocated from another assisted living facility. The staff worked very hard to ensure that their transition was seamless. An excellent job was done with their personnel their living space; and they are content. The nursing staff is sensitive, available and willing to listen. I am most delighted with the individual care given daily to ensure my parents are clean and comfortable. Although the facility is far from my home, the environment is pleasant with fantastic views of the water. I have no regrets.

a family friend had recently moved her dad into the signature and had lots of positive remarks about it so i decided to check it out. i had been to this place months back, id say around October but it is under new ownership/name change etc... i called and spoke to a very sweet well spoken receptionist who directed me to admissions dept. the girl in admissions took some time to talk to me and get some info on my mom and myself and we set up an appointment. when i walked up to the facility i couldn't believe it was the old scharome mannor. wow!!! what a change!! i was greeted by the lovely girl at the front area (nora) who im sure was the one i spoke to one the phone and a handsome young man (carmine) who i believe said he was the maintenance supervisor. the dinning room director(senter) said they still working on dining room and some other areas. my only suggestion would be that they have 2 floors which are still the old style. older rooms non renovated halls i.e old carpet wallpaper ... if they redo those two floors it would probably be a more of a selling point for rooms on those floors. other than that very very minor issue the place is great! two very sweet, knowledgeable and funny young ladies met jenifer and i on our tour (valerie and traci) they seemto know every single resident by name and greeted them as such. the staff is second to none! i met housekeepers maintenance guys medication aides dinning room staff recreation staff as well as all of their supervisors. also a huge difference from other facilities ive checked out the administrator himself came over to greet me. huge plus in my book. the staff here seems more like family than co workers and they treat the residents the same way from what i saw and from what my friend who referred me here said. i look forward to moving my mom into signature once the time officially comes ... hopefully they will still have room for us ! cheers to the signature staff you kids really warmed my heart!

Overall, we've had a good experience here so far. It's a good facility, no complaints from mom. I feel comfortable knowing they look after her well and look out for her. The staff has been friendly, nice, and helpful. Housekeeping and laundry are weekly and they collect trash daily, all is good there. They do have activities, my mom just chooses not to participate very often. Communication with the family is great. The biggest challenge for us has been with the food. It's a kosher facility and we knew that before she moved in. It's just been a challenge because mom isn't used to kosher eating. Not saying the food is bad, by any means. Just a different style that she's not used to. But again, we knew that from the start. So no fault to the facility on that. It's a warm cozy facility on a private street with a great view. I would recommend them to family and friends.

I was looking for some place clean and comfortable and that was close by and affordable and this fit the bill. I know that they have a lot of activities provided for the residents, things like arts and crafts, game rooms, etc. Even when she would not go they would bring stuff to her room to try and keep her engaged, she is participating more now though which is nice. I have not eaten the food but they give her a good plate full and she does not complain. I do think it would be helpful if they could bring snacks around to the residents.

I would tell others that it has been mostly a positive experience for us at The Waterford on the Bay. The staff have been pretty good to work with if we have questions or concerns. Bathing, toileting, and hygiene is care provided for my loved one. I'm finding the family is having to initiate, a lot of the care items; however, the community is receptive to this. My loved one likes the food that provides kosher food for the residents. There are specified meal times for them to eat.

This community was the best value for the money in the area we needed. They were very helpful getting my loved one admitted and have been straightforward with info. My loved one seems content here. Communication is not the best and it can be difficult to get ahold of someone. I am still trying to find out who we speak to and how to keep in communication with. I am happy with the care and think you concider the community

We chose this community because it was the best value to be able to address my loved ones needs. The room sizes seem to be okay. My favorite part about this facility would be their ability to make it possible for you to have quality visiting time with your loved one. They are doing virtual visits since COVID has started. I would recommend Signature Senior Living.

As previously mentioned the site is clean and homelike. The site is small so personal relationships established for socializing and outings. Staff are very nice, patient and knowledgeable.
