The day staff in my mom's area is excellent. Housekeeping seems adequate. I don't know about the meals. My mom has dementia, so I can't get an answer that is accurate. CP has ice cream socials and wine and cheese socials a couple of times each week. The chair exercise class is excellent. Because of her dementia, my mom doesn't take advantage of or participate in all of the activities which are available every day. Move in was no problem... but elevator is tight for large furniture. I am very happy with Cranberry Park and would recommend it. Cost is way less than other places in this area.

My mother is currently a resident at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. We moved everything and it was pretty easy. Bed, couple of dressers, chairs and TV. I would suggest a mover if a lot of large furniture. The elevator is not overly large. The activities staff is great. Lots of programs and they will help the residents get to programs. Day shift caregivers are very good. No experience with other shifts. Housekeeping is good. I am thankful and happy with the care that my mother receives at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. There are less expensive options but were not convenient for me...much farther to drive.

Cranberry Park: All the comforts of home with added medical support

The staff at Cranberry Park at Pickaway Manor is very consistent, same nurse everyday of the week and same nurse on the weekends. They make the family feel like your loved one is their only patient. Very through and knowledgeable staff. The rooms are nice sized. Housekeeping is done on a routine basis based on request, either 1 time a week or 2 times a week. Trash is emptied daily. Maintenance is available for tv, cell phone support or any equipment breaks. One down fall is that there is no landline, hard for the elderly who cannot operate a cell phone. They follow patient preferences. The food is okay. My grandma complains some about lack of variety. The emergency response is excellent. Overall, good experience. I would recommend Cranberry Park at Pickaway Manor to others.

Excellent Experience

Recently, I had a dear friend stay at the Grand to rehab from a fall and surgery. The staff was very welcoming and had a great sense of humor which was always good for my friends spirits. The Director ([name removed]) of the Grand was extremely kind and stopped by to check on my friend on a regular basis. Finally, because of his excellent care, he healed quicker than expected and was released to go home to live independently. Excellent Experience!

My mother was in Pickaway Manor Assisted Living from [date removed] and could not have received better care. Our family is so appreciative of all they did for her. The little apartment was so pretty and they also kept it very clean. They were very attentive to her needs and always made sure her meds were given as prescribed. Thank you to the staff in Assisted Living. We are so grateful for all you did for our mother in the last months of her life. God bless each of you

Everyone is always friendly and helpful. If I need anything or ask a question, they always get back to me. The nurses are friendly and available. The techs are as well. Sometimes they are short staff but they make it work. They could improve the food, my mom is not a huge fan. I would like to see more activities for her to do. Overall, I'm pleased and happy with her stay there so far.

Would Definitely Recommend It

We've had a very good experience at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. One of the most telling things was when my brother had a health issue. I was speaking with him on the phone and didn't like how he sounded. So I called the wellness center, and they immediately went and checked on him. They checked in with him multiple times, and when they were concerned about his wellbeing, they didn't leave his side except to call me to tell me what was going on, which I thought was excellent. Before I took him to emergency, they immediately printed up information on what as going on with him, his list of medications, etc. to take with me. I appreciated how well they handled the entire situation. On a more day-to-day note, the food is excellent, plentiful, and tasty. There was a little bit of a miscommunication in the beginning that they would automatically be accommodating his dietary needs. They do have appropriate choices for him, he just didn't know he needed to ask. But that has all been sorted out now. And we've had a great experience overall.

quality care

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to all the folks that attended to my sister during her stay and eventual death while at The Grand in Dublin, Ohio. My sister was in residence from [date removed] to [date removed]. During her stay she was given the opportunity to receive rehabilitation services by professional personnel who did everything possible to help her gain her strength. In her last few months the nurses and others attended to her needs above and beyond the requirements needed for her care. In the last days of her life extra care was taken to aid her needs. Over all the Grand is an excellent choice to any one that requires or has needs for health issues.

Excellent

My mother resided here for 4 years.. She fell from her wheelchair at home. She could not walk. She could not get to phone. She was hospitalized then transferred to nursing home. She wanted to go home but that was not possible. She was not happy and angry with me. The caring/loving caregivers and activity staff were able to change her attitude. They became like family. Having a doctor and nurse who could see her on site was very helpful. If staff was concerned about her during the night, they would call me to discuss options. On a lighter note: Initially, mom said bingo was for old people. She was 92 !! One day the great grand kids said they wanted to play so she reluctantly joined them. She then became addicted to playing and winning quarters. After mom’s passing, I volunteered here until Covid restrictions. I couldn’t leave the residents and staff !

A Safe Place for Dad

In [date removed] we enrolled Dad at ShorePointe Village. He was then 92 years old. He had an active mind, but his health was failing. He wasn't safe alone at home - with a bedroom upstairs, a basement, a kitchen, and non-ADA bathrooms. He liked ShorePointe with its busy community, activities, an attractive apartment with room for some books, and a visiting room where his many friends could stop by. Dad lived at ShorePointe until his passing in early 2021. As his health failed. ShorePointe conscientiously increased his care, and staffed his needs. During the COVID crises, ShorePointe diligently kept its residents safe and provided zoom calls in order to compensate for the inability of residents to have face to face visits. A helpful, responsive and competent staff managed and cared for Dad. The business office was always ethical and precise in its dealings with us. We highly recommend ShorePointe at Cranberry Park.

The Grand lives up to its name

I waited 8 months to write this review as I wanted time to really get to know The Grand. Last July, we moved my 97 year old mother into assisted living. We are so glad we did! When I fist walked into The Grand, I said to my wife, "I want to live here" now, 8 moths later, I still feel that way. More importantly my mother is so happy and pleased with the choice. The facilities speak for themselves, far exceeding the other senior care facilities we looked at. However, the staff are what really make The Grand a great choice. When the owner, his wife and whole family participate (not just attend) in the Christmas gala, you know that this is just not another corporate property of some big company. The food (dining service) is very good, with lots of options and a staff that are willing to cater to special needs or requests. If you are considering assisted living for a loved one, do give The Grand serious consideration. We are so happy with the staff and how they make that wonderful facility come alive for its residents.

Very pleasant environment, homey, quaint, quiet. Bldg secured. Attractive common areas. This is an independent living facility so apartments have full kitchens or you can use the dining room for additional charge. Other options a la carte. The neighborhood is nice as well.

Personal Assessment from a Rehabilitation Patient

I recently returned home from a three month rehab stay at The Grand following two extensive and complicated back surgeries. I have stayed at two other rehab facilities in the past (though not for such an extended time) and consider my entire experience at The Grand to be the best. This is not to say that I did not have good experiences at the other facilities. Absolutely everyone at The Grand is concerned for your needs and comfort. Employees go out of their way to help you even if not in their normal duties ( for instance a kitchen worker passing by my room when the call light was lit, but the nurse and aide helping those in other rooms, and stopping in to see if he/she could help or get someone who could). Nurses and aides constantly perform their duties in a manor to lift your spirits and totally satisfy your needs. The administrators are willing to get personally involved in your convalescence as a matter of course. Even the facility and amenities included are conducive to a small community as opposed to a nursing or rehab operation (the Christmas decorations and holiday programs were "out of sight" providing all with a joyous atmosphere) The therapists are "top notch" and, at least in my case, performed miracles in my eyes as well as my family's. Upon my arrival I questioned if I would ever stand again let alone walk extended distances with a walker as I did upon my departure. My observation was that they were having similar success with all they were helping. A great group of people. In conclusion, I can't imagine a better staff of individuals fully dedicated to the recuperation of resident patients. Should I ever again need the personal attention and professional talents of a rehab facility I would select The Grand in a heartbeat. :-)

I toured this community

I went on a tour here and the staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions. The apartments were nice and cute. I just didn't like the location. They did have a nursing staff on duty. It didn't look activity driven. I recommend touring several places before making a choice.
