The community is taking great care of my loved one and made sure we were able to communicate with her. The community is neat and clean and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Thankfully someone recommended Sommerset to my brother and I when we realized our dad needed assisted living. We visited a few facilities and frankly it was scary. However, [name removed] was so personable and professional she calmed our fears. I am grateful to the staff at Sommerset who took care of our dad. I know it wasn't easy at times. I realize looking back that it was the best place for him. I now would recommend Sommerset to anyone trying to find a new home for their loved one.

I have to say, the employees here are doing a lot right now for the residents. It's a tough time for everyone, but they're doing so much to make everyone comfortable and safe!

My mother was a resident at Ralston Creek Memory Care for 4 1/2 years before she passed away. Overall, the care provided to her during that time was excellent. Her room was the perfect size. Very clean. Access to cable TV if desired. A memory window case was provided on the outside of door in hallway so resident could place their favorite memorable items for display. Staff was always very helpful, checking on resident periodically at night. Staff and caregivers kept room clean. Activities for residents were always provided during the day and sometimes residents were taken for scenic drive in the Ralston Creek bus to nearby areas. The dining area was close to her room and when my mother was unable to get to the dining area on her own the caregivers were always there to help her. TV and movies were provided in the activity lobby. Access to the courtyard was available. I would highly recommend the Ralston Creek Memory living area for anyone. Generous, wonderful service.

Our first impression of Sommerset Neighborhood was that everyone there was very friendly towards us, and the community was really clean. From our understanding we believe they offer a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. The rooms they provide are nice and we would highly recommend this community.

It is a very difficult time to be going through this and the staff at Ralston Creek have made the transition as tolerable as possible. The food is good. I would recommend this community. I chose this community because the pricing and the location is close to my mother's neighborhood and where she feel most comfortable. The community is light, wide hallways, cheerful, and felt more open then most places. It seems like the community was well thought out.

The staff at Ralston Creek was constantly cleaning the community. Rooms and hallways were always clean and everything was always in its place. The whole community was kept up very nicely and was free of any smell. The staff did an excellent job in caring for dad. As he progressed in age, he needed higher levels of care and they were very willing to provide everything and anything he needed. At times, he would require extra help transferring and all he had to do was ask and the CNAs would quickly assist. They always showed great compassion towards my dad and the other residents. Dad always had his alert button with him and if he ever needed assistance, the staff was always quick to respond and help. He was never without care for very long. Activities were great, however dad often chose not to participate. We often saw activities taking place when we visited.

The staff are amazing here! I moved my mom in and thought she would have problems adjusting but not at this fine place! They treat you like family and always are there for you! It has a beauty salon and a movie theater to boot! The food is so good too! My mom and her family are very happy and pleased!

This is a wonderful place for my mother. She has late stage dementia. They take really good care of her. The staff is friendly and caring. The food is good, the apartments are nice and the overall feeling of the facility is calm and peaceful. I especially like that the faculty has security codes to get in and out. I highly recommend Sommerset.

My mother received Supportive Care from The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho for the last two years of her life. I was there practically every day to be with her and to be in a position to experience first-hand the care that she and the other residents received.The staff treated her professionally, attentively, and lovingly though she was not always the easiest resident to care for. The facilities are clean, new and wonderful. The dietary and housekeeping staff were attentive to her specific needs and requests. Maintenance and IT assisted her when necessary. Social work, nursing and aide care, and the activities staff were all top notch day in and day out. While she did not receive physical therapy, I have seen the staff there do a terrific job with those there for rehabilitation and those needing their services in short-term and long-term capacities. Those at the reception desk, and those in the administration both at The Neighborhood and at Haverland have always been receptive to suggestions and able to answer any questions we had. From the moment we first toured the facility with admissions staff, it was evident that those who worked there truly enjoyed working there and communicated that positive feeling very clearly. I believe there is not much turn-over in the staff as a whole. Having seen others tour to consider The Neighborhood and having seen dozens of residents' families from beginning to end, I know a vast majority of them havefelt the same way. While I can speak most directly about the Supportive Care part of the Neighborhood, I have been familiar enough with the Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care parts of the facility to know that each is top-notch and provide great service to the Rio Rancho/Albuquerque community.

My Mom was resistant at first about this move into Ralston Creek Neighborhood, but now she could not be happier. She enjoys the activities, the food, and is very complimentary of the staff.

I am so happy with the tour abd support. The Neighborhood has exactly what I need for my mom. I am calling them tomorrow to arrange her move.

The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho is by far the nicest senior campus in the Albuquerque / Rio Rancho area. There are no semi-private rooms in the nursing home. Each room has it's own bathroom/shower. Each room has it's own thermostat to control the ac/heating. Each room has it's own TV and private telephone. The rooms and halls are quiet. The residents frequently say that this is the first full night's sleep that they have had in weeks! What makes the Neighborhood special is their great care staff. The CNAs and Nurses bend over backward to make the stay pleasant. The therapy department is superb and mom was home in 15 days. The Assisted Living is very pretty and very cool with multiple meeting and activity areas.

I toured this community and it was outstanding, The place looked clean and nice. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. If they would have taken medicaid we would've put grandma here. The price just was to high for us. We had to chose another community.

The care from this community is very good. We like knowing that she is in a clean community with good care. The menu is good and she likes the nice variety of meals. I like knowing that she is active with a lot of the activities. My mom really likes the size of her room and that makes us comfortable to know that she is happy here. We would recommend this community for the wonderful care and benefits of care.

We toured this community for my mom's care. We did like the staff who were nice enough to answer the questions we had. The community seemed to be clean and maintained. We liked the list of activities and the menu of healthy meals. My mom wanted a different atmosphere. We would recommend this community for other families.

Ten things I like about Somerset: 1. The people who work there are very friendly, with positive attitudes. 2. They have safe rooms inside the building, in case of a tornado. 3. They serve breakfast, lunch, and supper, in areas that are not too far to walk, but far enough away that you know you will get some exercise walking to and from your dining room. 4. They have at least two choices for your daily meals. The food is served to you at your table. 5. They use a nearby drug store to order your prescriptions. You will be charged for your medications, but they don't charge an extra fee to give you your medications. 6. Friends and family members can eat with you for a VERY reasonable price! 7. The settings are beautiful and well-taken care of both inside and outside of the building. 8. They have lots of activities and great entertainment on the premises, church on Sundays, plus special activities throughout the year. For example, they had a mini-fair in the fall with funnel cakes and cotton candy. Plus, they host a carnival for the grandchildren and great grandchildren of the residents at Halloween. 9. They have both one and two-room apartments with lots of storage space and even windows to look outside. 10. They do your laundry and housekeeping for you, too!

Everything is going great for my father since his move into this community. [Removed], the activities director is wonderful, she keeps him busy. She gives him current events and a variety of activities. The food is excellent, the food director [Removed] mixes it up. On Wednesdays, they have street tacos, Mongolian bbq or the pasta bar, and they had a Memorial Day barbecue. They have movies twice a week and they remind the residents daily of activities My father was not as social at home and now is never in his room. He goes out and watches TV in common area and chats with other residents. The only complaint is that they do not have enough resources on weekends. Also, housekeeping could use some improvement, they went a week without getting my father's laundry, but they are working on it.

The maintenance staff is competent and prompt to respond to requests for service when problems occur. If a problem is encountered, their response is quick, thorough and complete. Problems don't don't have a chance to get out of hand; they're solved the first time! The housekeeping staff at the Neighborhood in Rio Rancho is superb, thorough, and on time. The apartments are cleaned every two weeks—just the right interval. The staff cleans up the surfaces in the bathrooms and kitchen, vacuums and dusts, and mops the floors. While the staff cleans the apartment, we go out and have fun!
