Divine Life Assisted Living Center

My mother in law was in Divine Life in the memory care unit. They cared for her emotionally, as well as physically. They took the time to understand that losing the ability to remember is life altering and worked hard through the challenges to help her. Caring staff is essential. The manager has very high standards and expectations from her staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this facility for a family member.

We picked this community, because of the location, value, and it was a smaller client community. We were happy with her care and found value in the center. I would recommend this place to others.

My mom seems very secure. She has Alzheimer's, and she has connected with the other residents. Some of the staff are very loving with her, and she feels very comfortable with them. The owners are physical therapists, and they have lot of compassion for the residents. It doesn't seem like just a business to them - it's more like a calling. The staff in general are very nice and accommodating. My mom seems very happy with the food. She is eating and looks well. And I think they make all the food on-site.

The staff members are very friendly and cooperative, when it comes to the care services they pay great attention to our loved one. The meals always look and smell really good, however the activities on the memory care side could be a little bit better.

Deeply caring staff , committed to the comfort of the residents. Emphatic care for family members. I was always comfortable with the care that my mother received. They do not have a lot of activities at this time due to covid.

The staff and this community are wonderful. My loved one is in need of services now and I am ready to make a call back to get him services so that he can be in great care. My other loved one was only there for a short time and we loved it.

We really like the facility and mom seems to be getting used to everything now.

They're very good about communicating with us. They're very friendly, and we can call them at any time and ask questions and they're happy to answer htem. The care is good, and they seem to be meeting all of his needs. They keep an eye on him and make sure he's alright, and if he needs anything they've alsways let hospice know. Everything seems clean, and I haven't seen anything concerning. Most important, my loved one seems to be happy.

We really like how the director is always in director contact with our family and is always accessible. Our friend has told us they are eating very well there, but the activities are still pretty limited

This is it! Owner [name removed] is kind, professional, warm, and good at her job. She took a lot of time with me answering questions and working out details to make this move happen for my dad. The facilities she runs are clean and staffed with caring people. We chose the new Lansing location with locked doors for my father with Alzheimers. After spending 1 year and over 5 thousand dollars per month at a corporate owned facility, the price she charges is much more reasonable for just about the same level of care. Finding New Life is an answer to prayer and we thank our Heavenly Father for leading us to this good place.

We like this community for care for my mom. The staff are nice and caring to my mother's needs. The community is clean with a nice environment. I like knowing that she does like the menu and likes the variety. She is happy here and that is very important for me to know. I would highly recommend this community to others wanting a good value with good care.

We moved our Mom in to New Life Assisted Living Center in Dewitt, Michigan on September 11, 2014. New Life is a small facility (11 capacity) which is exactly what we were looking for. Mom has dementia and a large place would have been confusing for her. Mom is sharing a room with another lady and she is doing great! All of the staff are so caring and they made Mom feel right at home from the first day. Mom now feels safe and secure and she has become best friends with her roommate! I can now enjoy Mom as a daughter again now that I don't have to take care of her all of her personal needs along with paying bills, shopping and cleaning house for her. I would say that our whole family benefits by having Mom in her new home. The staff are smiling friendly and always looking out for the residents' needs first and foremost. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone for their Mom or loved one.

They do an absolutely fantastic job at New Life! They take great care of their residents. The owner told me that the staff would treat my Mom with the same care and concern that they'd look after their own parents with, and from what I have seen this is true. I've got no complaints whatsoever! The facility is warm and inviting, the staff are caring and friendly, and everyone here seems happy!

The caregivers take good care of mom and her personnel needs. They are friendly and personable. The food is homemade, healthy and tastes good. They keep mom's room the home clean. They have lounge chairs and are near the lake. This home is welcoming and very comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone.

Overall I am pretty happy with them. It's clean and the staff is pretty friendly, and they offer plenty of activities. The food is pretty good, but it would be nice if they offered some more salads, and a little more variety for healthy food. We liked the access by buses, and how close it is to Lake Lansing. We liked that they didn't have carpeting which made it easier to get around. We liked that they washed the clothes everyday, and how friendly the staff is.

The staff is loving, caring and kind to the residents. Nice environment. Happy with the care my mom is receiving.

The staff seem to be short handed, but they are all wonderful people . When it comes to activities anything would be nice. From what I've seen the residents don't really have anything but TV. I realized that it's a memory care facility and a lot of the residents are limited on what they can do, but there's got to be something for the residents to help occupy their time and help with their mental health.

There were and are staffing issues. New manager recently doing much much better. It is expensive for no medical staff on site, rooms small, meals, activities. They have been good to my dad and he is kept clean. I like that there are only 20 residents so more care is able to be given. This facility is in Williamston, which is a very nice small town.
