Pleased with exception

I give all of the categories 5 stars with the exception of the meals and dining, the food is not good. By the time they get the food to the table it's cold. And elderly people should not be eating hot dogs on a regular basis. What sticks out the most about Bayberry Retirement Inn is the size of the facility, it is small and that works well for a lot of people.

Warm Welcome

Great interaction for your loved one and the staff are really good with the residents. I feel that my loved one is taken good care of even though this is independent living. They have activities on the calendar like movie night, bingo and more for the residents to do.

We really love this place, i would give it a 10 out of 10 if i could, we cant say enough good stuff about them! They have done a great job with my mom! The food is really good. The rooms are very good in size, the entire community is laid out very well. When we toured this community the staff was super nice and very informative. The place just looked very nice overall. My mom absolutely love it there!

A great place to live

Bayberry gets a ten out of five on everything! It is the most caring and nice community that I have ever seen. The staff are really great at what they do. The service offered, the quality of care, and even the price, are all really exceptional. I feel the price is still a good value, too. When we toured, my mom really liked this community, We were impressed with how nice everything and everyone was. We also liked its location. The food is really good and families are welcome to join the residents for meals at any time. Anything we need, we just call the staff and they take care of it. My mom says that we found the best place for her to live and she loves it there.

Great Place

Bayberry Retirement Inn has been a great fit for my friend so far. We chose this community for its closeness and convenience. The facility itself is really nice. The staff are very friendly, and the meals are very good. My friend found the portion sizes to be too small, but when she mentioned her concerns to the director, she was more than willing to offer more food upon request. My friend was given one of the premium rooms here at Bayberry, and it is very nice. They do an excellent job keeping the community clean and tidy, and they offer a lot of activities for the residents. Bayberry is really a great place, and my friend is very happy here.

My tour for home

This was a nice tour. I liked the staff that was nice and answer the questions that we had. The community appeared to be clean and maintained. The community has a lot to offer. I would have liked to have moved into the community, but my insurance could not assist me. I am able to recommend this community to others wanting a nice community to call home.

Excellent Care and Value

I was very happy with this community. I found the staff to be very helpful and attentive to my father's needs. The community was very clean inside and outside. They have excellent meals and a great variety. He was always active in the activities that were offered to him. I highly recommend this community to other families for great care and value for a loved one.

My dad had some minor surgery and stayed at the Bayberry for 2 weeks to get his strength back. It was very affordable and my family didn’t have to worry about him being alone at night. He really enjoyed all the attention and said he hopes to live there one day

A Home Away Home

The place is kept very clean, with a nice appearance. The staff is friendly; they make an effort to communicate with my father and with me when I come to visit. They are very cordial and they'll make sure to greet you. The only drawback I have would be the food, some of their menus I think are lacking. They do okay on breakfast and they seem to do fair on lunch, but the dinner can be a little light. I know they try to serve a light meal, but my dad has complained about it being very very light. My dad likes to eat vegetables, and they'll have them only once in a while. I don't know if they have a budget or if it's because there are more women than men residents. I've spoken to the director a bit about it and asked if they could cook a few more vegetables or make the last meal a bit more heavier because they do eat early. She, the director, said she'd look into it and try to see if it can be done. So I'm hopeful that it'll improve. I'm unsure if she makes the menu, but she does do the grocery shopping. When my dad moved in she said if there are any requests or special needs to let her know and that's what I've done. Again, that'd be my only drawback to the place and why I wouldn't give them a 5 out of 5. Bayberry Retirement Inn is one of the cleanest places I've been to and the help is very friendly. They know me, they'll greet me, and make an effort to get to know me and my dad. I can't complain about anything regarding the staff or the community itself, I think they do a great job there.
