I first visited this facility shortly before it opened over 10 years ago. Revisiting it for a family member, I found it to be a very pleasant & safe environment, & very convenient to many outings. The staff is well trained and very caring & know all of the residents by name. The ocean/sailing theme on the walls is quite appropriate for the area and very refreshing. The facility smells clean and not medicinal like a lot of care facilities. The food is fresh & tasty & plentiful. I have been very comfortable with my family member living there.

They make the transition easy for the family and the staff was very helpful and nice. They coordinated with the hospital. We had good communication between family hospital and ActivCare I would definitely recommend them for memory care.

I liked that they let us come visit multiple times to help make us feel at ease of placing mom there. The staff has been great through the whole process. They do not seem to stick to the activities that they have listed on the calendar. Definitely feel like we are paying top dollar, but feel like mom is being taken well care of.

My wife has been at ActivCare for a few months now and I visit here often. I spend more time on my visits than I ever expected. My visits are often spent playing table games with much laughing and conversation around the table. I have also found myself singing along with a terrific entertainer who comes regularly. My wife and I also spend much time chatting in either of the two gardens and enjoying the beauty and serenity. My wife loves the staff, the food and her pretty room. The staff, from management to caretakers, are friendly and upbeat. The common areas are always clean and fresh. In effect this place has relieved much of my guilty and fear about the decision I made.

The most wonderful, caring, and professional staff in a beautiful community. My loved one has been so very well taken care of. My father visits my father daily and participates in their activities, we are both forever thankful.

over the past 6 months, I have visited activcare nearly daily and typically spend between 3-6 hours there. I have been there during shift changes, meals, special events and witness their everyday routines. I have become quite familiar with the front office staff, nurses, and aides that work with the residents. The front office staff are very approachable and always willing to address questions or concerns that families or friends may have. There is an LVN on duty during each shift who is available to answer questions regarding medications or medical needs. As a whole, the caregiving staff is excellent. They are routinely shifted between the different levels of care and get to know the residents by name and understand their unique needs. The relationship that develops between the care staff and resident is remarkable. When not at the facility, I feel comfortable knowing my friend is well cared for. I thank ActivCare for providing the care he needs and giving me peace of mind.

My father has been at this facility for 6 months now. The caregivers are kind and attentive. Outside areas are safe and lovely to get fresh air. They have many activities and seasonal parties to attend. If you have concerns the staff are there to discuss and help you with whatever you need. Meals are good. Not great, but good.

I have been so very happy with all the staff at ActivCare! [name removed] is fantastic, she is so efficient and caring. [name removed] the PA is really sweet and on the ball. She does a great job taking care of my Aunt's medical well being. I drop in unannounced multiple times per week and have been very impressed by the activity and interactions by the staff with clients every time. Everyone there makes my Aunt and myself feel so welcome and secure. I am so happy we found this facility!!! Senior care is so very expensive everywhere, but this place is worth it truly. Love it.

My mom is with Active Care and it’s coming up on a year already and I can’t believe it went so fast but my mom is in very good health she is strong and capable of walking and communicating and she loves music and the entertainment that they bring in often. She can feed herself but If needed they are always there to help. [name removed] makes sure everything is going well and [names removed] keep the events fun and [names removed] are always there helping all the residents and getting them to and from meals and games and their rooms and bathrooms! I M in awe of everyone and am there often!

I am more than happy with the care my father is receiving at ActivCare. I am impressed with the interaction between the staff and the residents. Every resident is known by face and name and the caregivers genuinely pay attention to and interact with the residents. I am so appreciative of the little things the staff takes care of for my dad, even having little jokes with him that help him feel that he is truly known. I have witnessed numerous staff members engage with, encourage, laugh with, sing with, and even dance with residents. The fact that the staff are smiling and laughing with residents truly demonstrates that ActivCare can be just like home.

This is the second facility she has been in. ActivCare Laguna Hills, as a specialized memory care provider is better equipped and prepared to provide the appropriate services for dementia clients than a typical multi level provider of senior services that offers a memory care unit. The staff of caregivers are attentive and caring to her needs and requirements. The activities are plentiful and appropriate. The facility is new, clean and well equipped. She is comfortable and happy at ActivCare Laguna Hills.

ActivCare at 4S Ranch is an excellent facility! I encountered kind and professional employees during my visit while we were looking for a site for my father who is still not relocating from [removed]. Highly recommended. Your loved one's services will be unparalleled!

It is such a small private facility and staff very experienced in the field.I highly recommend this memory facility.

My parents live at ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch. It's a very clean facility. The caregivers are very friendly and empathetic with all of the residents, you can see them many times, hugging them, smiling at them and talking to them. The housekeeping is in order, they wash the clothes and the sheets on a regular basis and my parents are changed with clean clothes every day. The showers are scheduled, so they always get them on time. The activities are great, the ladies who are in charge have a lot of energy and are very friendly, so they make the activity very fun and the residents are included. The food is well prepared and it follows the doctor's recommendations. They have a permanent nurse, so at any moment they can provide help. They are in touch with the Pharmacy and the primary doctors in case they need supply, refills, and new orders from the doctors. As with any Memory Care facility, sometimes the staff can be short due to different reasons, but they make sure to call an agency to provide caregivers to help that day. Sometimes this can decrease the quality of work a little bit, because these new caregivers are not familiar with all of the specific needs that each of residents have. The facility has a big room where most of the activities take place, it works as a dining room and activities room. This area has easy access to two beautiful gardens where the residents can enjoy fresh air. It is always cleaned and the trees trimmed, it has flowers and a little path that they can walk through. During my dad's birthday they made him feel very special. They decorated his dining table and the door of his room with congratulations notes and drawings. They brought a cake and sang Happy Birthday to him. All of them hugged him, and he really was very happy. All residents have many specific necessities, and I can tell that the caregivers do their best to fulfill all of them and I understand when they can't sometimes cover all of them. The person in charge of the nurses and caregivers is always available through text and she replies very fast. Any concern or comment you want to give, she does all to solve it. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. [name removed], who is in charge of admissions, makes everything very easy to help the families with this process. The facility is always secured and the ladies at the front desk let you in with a specific code. Also, to get out of the place you need to use your code. They also have a record of who comes in and out, so you always have to check in and check out. ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch is definitely is a place that becomes home and I recommended it 100% for a person who is looking for a great Memory Care facility.

My dad spent 1.5 years at ActivCare Mission Bay - he was almost 98 when he passed. Moving him there from another facility was the BEST thing we could have done for him in his final years! He was a retired physician, which was a huge and important part of his life. They did an amazing job in making sure that he continued to feel useful. When he would become upset or agitated, they would ask him to "write a prescription" or check their pulse. They would ask his opinion about other "patients." And they continued to call him "Dr." He absolutely thrived while he was there. Even when they didn't think someone was watching, I would see the staff put a hand on someone's shoulder or talk to them lovingly. He was able to pass here, in the place that he called home. As our family sat with him in his final days, staff came in to say goodbye and tell us how much they loved him.

Amazing facility and staff!! Grade A experience. Choosing a facility to have one of your loved one stay can be challenging, but it ended up being the best decision for both my dad and my family. He thrived here, enjoying the social activities with the other residents and the music. While it also provided our family some relief from day to day care taking. Thanks ActiveCare!

My husband who has Alzheimer's, has been a resident at ActivCare at 4S Ranch for [time frame removed]. Before I placed my husband in their care, I researched and visited at least 15 facilities in my area. I chose ActivCare for a variety of reasons. First of all, they specialized in memory care and their ratio for caregiver to patient is excellent. It was obvious from my first visits to evaluate this facility that they had a loving and caring staff that was well-trained to help individuals with memory care problems. In addition, I really appreciated the many activities that occurred throughout the day for the residents. These activities allowed the individuals to socialize, engage and stay alert! These activities took place in the main activity room or in good weather the outdoor patio areas. This main activity room is of utmost importance at ActivCare! Most of the residents spend their day in this room. This encourages individuals to be social with one another, engaged in daily activities and not spend the majority of their day isolated in their bedrooms with no stimulation. The safety of my husband in a care facility was another major concern to me! ActivCare is a one-story building with many secured exits and a well-planned evacuation route in case of emergency! Many of the other facilities I visited had the memory care ward on the top floors leaving only the elevator or stairs as an evacuation route-These locations left individuals that were in wheel chairs at a huge disadvantage. In addition, all exits at ActivCare are secured so residents cannot leave the building on their own nor can strangers enter. In summary, I am pleased with ActivCare at 4S Ranch and would recommend it to any individual in search for memory care for their loved one!

Staff very well trained in caring for residents with memory issues. Care staff are kind and respectful. Activities directors are super great people and provide appropriate activities to keep residents happy! Totally recommend!

I so appreciate the ActiveCare team who have created a warm home environment for my mother. The team is caring, friendly, attractive and understand the needs of the residents. it's a true pleasure to know mom is in such capable, professional hands!

It was a great experience. They were very professional and caring, always had my uncles condition their first priority. I would recommend this community to other families.
