My experience with Victory Hills

We chose Victory Hills because of the availability that they had at the time we needed it. The apartment sizes here were efficient. I would recommend them to others looking.

I would not recommend

They have bed bugs within the community, we lost a king size mattress to the bed bugs which is why we left. We were told in the beginning they had a few bed bugs, but we did not know the whole community had them

my experience

This facility was great at first, The staff and administration were great, They did away with their assisted living, so we were there for only 3 months. At first, the food was good but it went downhill when assisted living closed. the variety was not good they had the same thing for lunch and dinner

Would not recommend at this point

We chose Victory Hills because of the affordability, at the time they had a special move in deal and my brother was able to get in. They also did provide meals, transportation, activities, etc. They no longer provide these things due to the virus. Ownership has also changed twice since he has moved in.

I would not recommend

I would want others to know that the head lady told us a bunch of really cool stuff that was going to happen in side the facility and none of that ever happened. Once she moved in, she didn't get any of what they said she would get. They do not have activities, they are not feeding them anymore, they put in a sandwich machine, and they do not offer a bus service to get residents anywhere which is hard for people who cannot get around very well. They did lower her rent but overall I am not happy with our experience with Victory hills.

A Nice Place

They had new management and things were just different. They were very clean. They had great help. The new manager just made changes that negatively impacted the living experience. The food is really good. They have lots of choices. The cleaning staff did a great job. The front desk person is wonderful.

Good experience.

It is a nice place to live. It is clean the staff is friendly and helpful. The other residents are friendly. I feel safe. They have a lot of floor plans. I have a one bedrooms which is a good size for me. They have walk in showers and huge walk in closets. Maintenance is quick to respond. It is quiet and they do allow pets.

Victory Hills in Kansas a horrible place

Victory Hills is a disaster, bed bugs, roaches, poor staff and food not edible. THe did a bait and switch and refused to give me the apt at price promised. APFM rep had never seen it - then did not believe me when I left. Blamed me - not a nice person. This is Kansas - she is in Utah, but never told me that.I was out of pockiet money for moving there then money moving to storage till I can get into another apt - none available in this area. Have been practically homeless for over 6 weeks. You need to be sure what your are recommending. UNclear why Tutera does not do something about this horrible put up with this. They have a good reputation and this makes them look VERY bad.

[Name removed] was wonderful to speak with and provided me with all the information I needed. I enjoyed the tour - they have an "ambassadog" who is a bright spot in anyone's day. The facilities are being renovated, but that is a sign of keeping up with the times. I met the head chef who is very passionate about personalizing and making everyone welcome and comfortable at the table. The prepare food from scratch which is very appealing. The physical activity available and keeping folks engaged and well is a focus. The location is great, parking is interesting, signage to drive around back for the drive-up entrance could be a little better, but once you know it is there, it is quite handy.

Not really very happy. The billing is constantly a nightmare. The food has generally improved but have found when ordering something other than posted meals does not work. Dad ordered from the alternate menu but received the posted nasty meal. Luckily he had crackers in his apt and that is what he had for dinner that night. The management has gone downhill from our experience with in-laws a few years ago. He would like to move.

A tour for care and comfort

We toured this community and like the staff and the nice clean environment. They have a nice list of activities and the offer a good menu. We wanted a community that has not the additional charge for extra care. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

Nice tour

The staff here did a very good job showing me around, they took their time and answered all my questions. There are a lot of amenities here for the residents, it is a nice community but I just didn't feel that this was the best atmosphere for my Aunt and that she would not be happy here.

Lively Community

I am very happy living here. I chose this place due to the price it is within my budget and the location is perfect. The property is very well kept and clean and the staff is friendly. They offer lots of activities such as exercise classed in the morning which I don't personally attend but the staff at least makes it a point to ask if I would like too. Every Friday they have a happy hour which is very popular they offer drinks and snacks and they have live entertainment which is a nice feature. The community offers transportation at least twice a week to take people shopping or appointments if needed. The food is good we are offered at least 2 choices off the daily menu. Meal time is generally between 4:30 and 6:00 which is a little too early for me but it's not an issue for me to bring my meal back to a room and eat when I want. I would recommend them to anyone.

Tender Loving Care!

The staff at the Victory Hills took good care of my husband while he was there for a respite stay. The place was clean and they were very accommodating. I would recommend this community to anyone who is looking into it.

I would not use this community for a respite stay again for dad.

My dad did a short respite stay at Victory Hills. The staff seemed nice when you talked to them, however they did not return phone calls. They said they could give dad the care he needed when we first looked a this community, unfortunately they did not seem to be able to follow through on this. They did not seem to help him with some of his personal needs. The community was clean and the food was good. He made a good turn around when he came home.
