Like a cruise ship on land!
Overall one of the best 55 communities in the Roswell / Alpharetta area at about the $[removed]/month price point. The location is both easily accessible, yet secluded. It is off highway 92, with its own property with no nearby commercial neighbors. There is a nice pathway in the front around a small lake. The inside has a nice size open air atrium, with a huge dinning area, card/activity area, salon, gym, general store, and huge theatre. The rooms are nice size. The food is good, with a 24 hour snack station, and don't miss prime rib Sundays! They have a bus that can take you shopping. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Could not be happier
Everything is going very good for me. The people make the facility of course and both the residents and the staff have been amazing and so welcoming. They do their best to keep us busy but if we do not want to participate in the activities that is fine too and there is no pressure. There are all sorts of clubs such as book clubs, sewing clubs, bible study, etc. that I am a part of. The facility is very clean and we have housekeeping that comes in whenever we choose and they do a great job. The food is very good, especially the Sunday brunch which they really go all out on. We had been to quite a few places to look around and I really think Vickery Rose had the best value especially for all of the amenities that are offered. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

Peace of mind
Vickery Rose feels like a cruise ship on land, it is expensive but its like walking into an upscale hotel. Everything is clean, bright and smells fresh. It is easily accessible to all residents and visitors. The dining service is great, you can get in and get out. There is unlimited meals so you don't have to worry about missing a meal time, there offer a huge variety and if there is something you do no like they will make you something different. Our loved one is really enjoying the activities, and loves his full kitchen in the apartment. I could even see myself living here.

Best Senior Community I've ever worked in
I'm a physical therapist and have been providing therapy in senior living communities for the past 15 years. I've worked in many great communities but Vickery Rose is the best of them all. The Vickery Rose team is the best. They have genuine love for seniors which shows in their friendly, caring, and enthusiastic interactions with the residents. The activities are creative and engaging and the residents have a lot of fun. There always seems to be a party or some type of fun celebration. The community is always kept looking beautiful and clean and offers so many unique amenities that anyone can find something to enjoy. The managers are great also. They set the tone for the team and have fun while always keeping the residents' well being at the top of their priority list. Vickery Rose provides a true community environment and the residents and staff look out for one another. Vickery Rose is one of the few places that I would love to see my own mom be a part of one day.

Tour of Vickery Rose
This can be an overwhelming time for most families as they navigate trying to find the perfect senior living for a loved one. I took my Mom to tour Vickery Rose and found [name removed] our counselor, to be supportive, upbeat, patient, and kind. We met the manager and he also was very kind.
Although my Mom will not use most of the amenities, Vickery Rose offers some of the best, and the residents that we met in the short time that we were there seemed wonderful, happy, and engaged. I also like the fact that there is storage available for an extra fee.
Vickery Rose is the first Senior Living community that we viewed, and it very well may be the one that we choose. Wishing everyone health and courage.

Vickery Rose exceeds my expectations
I've toured too many communities to count and I am tired. I have found Vickery Rose to be the BEST!! By FAR! Stunning and impressive- like a Cruise! I am looking for my mom. On the tour, I met so many residents out and about playing Canasta or Bridge while others played Ping Pong. Social activities are important to my mom so to see people out of their rooms was a good sign that they do a lot here. Some residents talked with me and said they have lived at Vickery for 2 years since they've opened and are very happy. I've discussed with my mom and she is thrilled and excited and will be getting things in order to make a move to Vickery Rose based on what I told her. She can't wait to see and experience all of what the community offers! Wonderful place with Happy residents!

New home for mother in law
We are very pleased my mother in law chose Vickery Rose as her new home. The location is great, the facility is very attractive and clean, the staff are friendly and the residents are very welcoming. With all the onsite amenities, activities, proximity to shopping and transportation is available if she decides to use it made the decision making easy.

Great location for somebody transitioning into independent living
They just got a new manager who is fantastic. They've really gone out of their way to help me get my loved one acclimated. I really like the activities. They do a lot of happy hours, and they have fitness. The food is good, but not quite as good as when we first moved in. The other residents seem to be very friendly, and my loved one is always eating with somebody new. I really like that all the meals are included. They also have some extra care available on-site.

Management problems
After the many communication issues with management, I moved just a few months after moving into Vickery Rose Retirement in Roswell GA. The issues were constant and my family grew frustrated quickly with the management. My place was not cleaned for several weeks after moving in because they "forgot to add me to the list" and the washer and dryer that were promised to me in my contract were not delivered until right before I moved out. These are just two examples of many communication issues. It is poorly managed.

Avoid Vickery Rose
I lived at Vickery Rose Retirement Community from [date removed] and I do NOT recommend this property. My place was never cleaned well IMO and the cost to live here was too high for the quality. The staff was very difficult too, so I found another community.

Management Issues
I moved my father into Vickery Rose a few months ago and it's been exhausting staying on top of things. It has been an incredibly frustrating experience for me and I'm moving my dad out.
A few examples of my experience:
He was promised a washer and dryer, weekly cleaning and several other services in the contract but months after he moved in - I'm still asking weekly about his washer and dryer. When they finally brought the washer and dryer after several months- they let me know it was being delivered minutes before they wanted in the apartment!
I had to continually ask why his apartment was not being cleaned... over a month after he moved in they finally got around to coming by weekly. From the start - all of the initial things to get him settled in were put on me. No one told me about the moving carts or key card access to move more easily, or where trash is...
I've continually emailed and called to ask management to contact me and they can't be reached.

Clean and bright. Mom liked the GE appliances in the kitchen. Security and safety measures were good. Were shown an apartment on the first floor. Mom thought it was cold. They are going to see one on the second floor on Saturday. Liked the lack of "community fee" and that only the first month's rent was needed to move in. Dad liked the 3 meals a day and the anytime dining. Mom was interested in the ongoing puzzle and the book club.
