I would definely reocmmend for people to place their relatives
The community is kept very clean, and we like that it does not look like a facility it looks more like a nice hotel. Based on our experience so far we would recommend St. Gabriel of Corpus Christi to others.

Tour experience
The staff at St. Gabriel gave us a nice tour. The facility was smaller and needed some updates done to it. It was more expensive and also in not as quite as nice as a part of town as another place we were looking into.

This was a very nice community and brand new during our tour. The fees were a little too much for us. There were a lot of amenities and care supplies.

Try St. Gabriel of Corpus Christi
Everything seems to be nice and clean every time I go to visit. They're very friendly ,and I think the head people are doing very well.. THe meus look good and the meal that I tried was pretty good. They seem to have a wide scope of activities. My loved one seems to be in good condition. She has no complaints as far as I know. I think they do very well as caretakers. She's a fall risk, and I feel they do the best they can to keep her safe. So I'm pleased, and seems like my love done is too. I think they're doing a very good job, and I'd recommend them.

Great and personalized service
The staff members there were very accommodating with helping our loved one move in and move in her belongings. They also were great helping us move out her belongings. Our loved one was only there a month and during the restrictions, but we do believe they did the absolute best that they could. She was extremely happy with the meals, and they were able to have some activities going. The activities director came up with a lot of different ideas on how to keep the residents engaged. The residents were able-to garden which was our loved ones favorite thing, they could pot plants and garden out in the courtyard. The staff were also great with keeping our family informed and always keeping us updated.

A Home Like Place for People Who Have Memory Care Issues
Everyone has been very nice. [name removed] who is the activities director is very good and keeps the residents active. They keep the residents in mind with their individual needs.
It's very close to home for my mom. This has been perfect for her.
I would like for them to have pets or a therapy animal for the residents.

Respite Care
I am a full time care taker of my husband. He needs 24 hour care. I was able to trust in the care and excellent service he was given during his respite stay. It helped me have a much needed break to relax and spend time for myself. I highly recommend St. Gabriel of Corpus Christi. Give [name removed] A call she will make the transition an easy one.

St. Gabriel is a very clean, secure facility well-suited for elderly who have issues with advanced dementia. This is also a caring community, with employees who visited our mother and made her cookies during a recent hospitalization. Recent upgrades to staffing and activities have made St. Gabriel even better.

Great Experience
I visited St. Gabriel's of Corpus Christi is hopes of moving my Mom closer to my family. I was told they are now under new management and have a lot of positive changes going on. One thing I really liked is that there is a nurse in the building around the clock, not just on call. This is important to me as my Mom sometimes has issues with her blood sugar. Having a nurse right there will help to lessen hospital visits. They also have menu choices even for memory care. I love that, sometimes food is so important to good health. The food looked amazing and I was able to see the menu for a whole month on my tour. The staff was so friendly, and they were all interacting with the Residents on their level and that made it feel so like home. The person giving me the tour was also able to give me resources on groups to help the family deal with Alzheimer's and was invited to a meeting they are having there. I also loved that all care in included in the price, that I only have to bring her personal items. This is a great savings and they offered to help me with her long term care paper work. I also love the fact that they only do memory care there. Residents were doing activities on their level in small groups which was a plus. There is also secure outside areas for them to garden if they would like. This experience made me feel more at ease on this journey. If all works out and my Mom moves I will choose St. Gabriel. You should check it out.

Good Tour
I toured looking for a place for my parents that will be moving to the area after the first of the year. My Mom's dementia is worse than my Dad's, but he needs memory care also. I was so pleased to see that they will each be taken care of in their own place in this terrible disease. They have nurses there around the clock to assist with needs, and that is a big plus at putting my mind at ease. The staff was all smiles, and interacting with the people living there. It is more like a home not like a hospital or nursing home. I was there when lunch was being served and the food looked amazing and smelled great. I am now not as worried about this move.

This is a beautiful community. The staff is welcoming and very involved with the Residents that live there. It feels like a home and not a facility. The Residents all look happy, and well cared for. The updates being made are amazing, more than expected. When the time come to make the move to memory care this is where I will choose.

Beautiful place for love ones . They have a team that is caring and friendly. They are there to answer any questions or concerns you might have. The daily activities are a MUST for their residents. They enjoy quality time on a daily basis. The staff is always visible when I visit.

High End not for mom
This is a beautiful community, and the staff did a great job showing me around and answering all my questions. There were lots of amenities for the residents here but I knew that it was not going to be a good fit for my mother as she would be better in a more home-like atmosphere and a much small community. I would definitely recommend coming on a tour here.

Could use some improvements!!
My mother was only at this community for a short period of time and while she was there everything just went okay. I would say there about five caregivers that work there that are exceptional in what they do. The rest of the staff just seemed very careless in my opinion. I ended up pulling my mother out after a month because I just was not satisfied with the overall care she was receiving.

Not enough care for mom
Thrive Memory Care in Corpus Christi needs a higher ratio of quality caregivers to patients. Right now they say it's 6 to 1, but in reality patients are being left alone too much–caregivers call in sick or some are just lazy.
There are great caregivers: [Removed] were also great, but there are many CNA's that just don't have a maternal instinct. They need to find another line of work.
I think Thrive is the best Memory Care Center in Corpus Christi, but that's not saying much. I did not want to leave my mom there. Maybe it's good for some, but not my mom. She is now living with me.

A tour for care
I toured this community for my husband's care. This is a new community for memory care. I found the community to be a very beautiful community. The staff was excellent. They have a nice variety of activities that are offered.We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

Top of The Line
I feel like my mom is getting excellent care and living in a top of the line community. I like the meals they serve it has an even amount of starch, meat, and vegetables with no long wait time. I was impressed with the brand new, immaculately clean, and 6 resident to 1 caregiver ratio community. I have a little concern since the activities director has quit. They are using one of the resident helpers but I don't think that is a good idea. I would move in myself and recommend other to the community.
