The best Memory Community in town!

The Retreat at Port Orange is the best Memory Care Community I have ever been to! They have such an amazing team, you see the smiles as soon as you walk in the door! The community is so full of life and happiness. Their Activities Director keeps everyone exercising, socializing, and even dancing! The community has a very specific design, with two separate memory care buildings, they can care for residents who are just starting out with memory loss and those who have progressed. They are just all around so welcoming, I would recommend The Retreat to anyone!

My review of The Retreat at Port Orange

They are very good about getting back to us with updated regarding our loved one. They tell us if she has having a good day or a bad day, so being far away we appreciate their good communication.

An All-Around Amazing Senior Living Community

Grace Manor is the best community if you are looking for a secure place for your family member. I had such a great experience when I visited. The staff were so welcoming as soon as I arrived and the community smelled nice and clean. The residents were all busy participating in an energetic chair exercise program led by an activity director who was full of spirit! They were all laughing and singing together and I could tell they love where they live and are well cared for. Grace Manor definitely is worth the money, which is actually lower than a lot of other places in the area I have visited. They have so much to offer their residents and families. It's wonderful to find a senior living community that is so alive and has staff who are knowledgeable and genuinely care.

God send

Grace Manor was a God send for our mom and us. Everyone was so caring and kind. The staff was wonderful. The only problem was they didn’t have enough help for the level of care needed. Mom was on the “memory care” side which needed more staff. All in all I highly recommend Grace Manor for value and care.

Look no further!

We toured Grace Manor and were so impressed with everything! It is clean ,bright and the residence looked so happy to be there! We were there when the activity director had gathered most of the residence for an activity and only a few didn't want to participate. We are told that this is a daily thing and no one is forced but all are encouraged. Staff was very friendly to us but staff all knew all the residence well and cared about them! They even took us to the kitchen and it was spotless! We would recommend Grace Manor to anybody looking for a home for their relative!

Short Staffed, Meals Meager, Only thing great is their Director of Excitement

The director of excitement is what keeps us there. Without [Removed] there would be no Grace!!! The great staff i.e. CNAs and HHa are now scheduled off more than they work. How long will they be able to keep them? A number of residents are way it was when the state came in last summer and shut them down. The residents are the ones that suffer when numbers are down. They have a marketing guy but really he's in the building too much to really be selling Grace. So once again the so-called chef-inspired meals are white bread hoagies with chips for dinner. No nutritional balance for seniors! Where the fruit Salads etc. Every meal needs vegetables for fiber etc. Not one person in the meal prep is a chef. Cooks yes!\There an executive director but she is never there and very out of touch with residents and families and I have observed her with the staff she seems to be mad all the time. A micromanager who doesn't know her job. Bring back [Removed]!! I see that the staff is struggling to met the residents needs due to the lack of hours and support . The Med Director is great. Smiles and accommodates everyone and is another reason we stay. She knows her stuff. We pay a pretty penny and to be honest the level of care, food are way down. Have been for 4 months. All summer. Thank goodness for [Removed] you keeps everyone busy and engaged!! It used to be a 4 star...not anymore!! Lets hope they get it together or 5 of us are going to move and then there will be only 12 on the assisted living side
