You do not find happy and welcoming residents unless they, themselves, feel happy, cherished, and secure. In addition to doing their regular jobs, you will often find the staff either helping a resident in general, helping with meals, joining in on activities, etc. I mean everyone – Facility Director, Memory Care Director, entire front office team, Environmental Service Director, Activities Director, nurse, med techs, caregivers, housekeeping staff. It is obvious that they do what they do because they care. Think “doing a job as a means to make a living” versus “doing a job that is an integral part of fiber of who you are”. This team is the second version – they love what they are doing. It shows in the love, care, and compassion they show to the residents and their families.
