A good fit!
The apartment that my friend is in is perfect. She has a door in her living room that goes to the outside so she can take her dogs out. She has a washer sand dryer in her apartment, I think the place is great for the money. She had some problems with faucets switched but I'm sure they will do something for her and get it worked out. They, have seating areas to get together, and the residents themselves organize potlucks. We had a problem in the beginning with the manager who quit and didn't tell anyone about the paperwork so my loved one was without a place to live for a while, but they have someone there now who is more responsible. When you first walk in, there is a strong smell of disinfectant.

They are doing a good job so far.
They are doing a good job so far. We are pretty happy with them. It's clean and the staff is friendly. I don't really have any major concerns about them at all.

Feels like home.
I was very impressed by the managers, and the way they took the time to speak directly to my mother, and listen to her (she had a stroke, and is a little hard to understand and hear sometimes). We never felt rushed on our tours, and they patiently answered all of our questions. The apartments are spacious and clean, and the common areas are lovely. The sound insulation seems very good (no noise from hallways or neighbors. All of the residents I've met in the hallways are friendly and seem very happy. I often see groups of residents gathering in the common areas for various activities. My mother is really enjoying her new apartment.

Mostly Great, But Lousy Parking Situation!
The staff is really kind & helpful. My husband & I have lived here for just over a month. We are among the youngest residents, at the age of 55. We haven't had an official tour of the building & we haven't participated in any of the activities, although there are some available. The parking situation is really bad! We love our apartment, but the parking situation just may be a deal-breaker, once our lease is up in February 2015. For someone who doesn't drive, or for someone physically able to walk a distance to reach their car, this would be a great place to live. We also love the area! It's safe, clean, close to shopping & many different medical facilities & everyone seems to be friendly!

James was awesome! I really liked the feel of the property. Their One bedroom Plus was my favorite. Not sure if we could afford it but I felt it was reasonable for the facilities. They didn't have any sponsored 'activities' but the residents take care of that themselves which I think is great! Mom's still skeptical.

Great for the money
I have to explain, I live in maryland and mom lives in Lenexa so my feelings are all based on my phone calls with her, but she's very pleased, she seems very positive everytime I call. We were there several times before she moved, in fact, she was having a little bit of an adjustment and she was reluctant to leave her home so we took numerous visits there and I asked the lady who manages it if we could have an hour there by ourselves and that's what did it. My one concern is that there isn't any way to check on the residents on a daily basis and a lot of the more expensive places have a way to check on the residents officially, so if the residents didn't buddy up like my mom did they could be having a problem in their room and no one would know. It's a nice place and the price is so much more reasonable than the other options in that area, you have to have some money, but if they can afford the rent it's a nice place.
