Happy Landings
We picked this community, because of the beautiful entrance way, the friendly staff, the rooms suited my Mother's taste and proximity to my house. Mom and I feel very at home there. I think they try hard to accommodate all the different folks, customs, attitudes etc with dignity and kindness. I''m comfortable knowing that she's getting good care. That's especially important since I can't always see her.

Provision Living of West West Bloomfield is a 102-apartment senior living community that was intentionally designed to meet the unique needs of older adults. With both independent living, assisted living and memory care services, residents have their choice of purposefully designed studio and one-bedroom private apartments, which include full bathroom, kitchenette, emergency call response, fire safety system, and individualized heating and cooling. The building also features a beautiful dining room, ground level courtyard, full-service salon, on-site rehabilitation center services, and much more.
Each apartment is equipped with Foresite Eldercare which provides continuous, detailed predictive fall and health monitoring without compromising resident privacy and dignity. Respit
I had a six week respit stay and enjoyed it very
much. The facility is lovely and well maintained.
The caregivers were skilled and compassionate.
The food was resteraunt.quality. My one bedroom
unit was spacious. Activities go on all day, 7 days a
week. If i ever need assisted living permanently.
this is where i will go.

They were great before Mom moved in. It sounded like it would be a great fit for her. However, once she made the move things were not as we were led to believe. They didn't have the necessary personnel to provide the care she required. We put her in memory care so she would have one on one care for feeding and making sure she was clean. Mom only lived a week and a half after she moved in.

Good community but could use more help.
If your loved one can be independent and take care of themselves, it's a great place to be. If they need additional assistance (for instance if they're wheelchair bound or need help getting in and out of bed) there is not enough staff. If I come to them with questions or concerns, how they handle it depends on who it is. They can be defensive, or there are a few who are diligent and try to do their jobs. The rest are just there to get a paycheck. They're also on their third chef in nine months, so the food has not been very good.

Lovely facility for a fine place to live
The staff is very friendly & attentive. They made my Mom feel welcome & at home as soon as she moved in. A physical problem my Mom had was handled calmly & compassionately. We will be moving my Mom from Assisted to Memory Care and the whole process is being handled very well with acclimating her to her new surroundings slowly. The Activities director works hard to find good things for seniors to do. The facility itself is lovely.

A nice place
My father in law lived in this facility for approximately 9 months before passing. He was well cared for during his time there. Kudos to the caregivers that care for our loved ones when we can not.

A nightmare
My husband lived there. Many things were good. He liked the food. Some workers were good. But the workers at night were not nice. He was afraid of some of them. I told him not to call for help at night, but sometimes he needed help. When he told me about problems, I told the director. She chose to support and defend her mean workers and made things worse for my husband. After she accused both of us of making things up, I had to move him out. (We had no reason to invent stories! We spent [price removed] to move him in. He needs help. It's close to our house.) The mean employees were hiding their bad behavior from the director. Why? They wanted to keep their job! If you care about your relative, do not let them live here.

Nice, but if your loved one needs more individualized help, this isn't the place to go.
It's not ideal for those who have a loved one who has dementia yet is younger than 60. They don't have a staff that is educated on specific types of dementia.
Communication can be very difficult. When looking at costs, be very specific to find out what exactly they are including. The front people are very nice. But the staff who are there in the evenings are not very friendly at all. However, there is one shift manager who is really nice. The executive chef is really nice as well. My loved one does not like the food, but they try really hard. They just don't have ethnic types of foods that we're used to, but they're willing to listen to your suggestions. Because of Covid, they have been understaffed, and unfortunately many of the residents have had to endure sitting in their own waste. And you could smell it in the hallway at an overpowering level. Sometimes they would leave the garbage sitting out in the hallway for quite a while as well.

I would recommend you check the community out for your loved one. The staff really make the community and are fantastic to work with. If there is an issue the staff quickly fix the problem.

The staff here is truly amazing. Every staff member knows the residents and gives them all the attention they neec.
Since my Dad moved into Provision I have slept better knowing he is looked after by caring people and amazing technology.
During these terrible Covid times Provision is doing their best to keep every one safe while keeping the residents engaged with the comminity both inside and outside of the facility.

I'm not sure this place could be worse. My Mother in Law has been here for one year and the turnover is nuts - a different person as the director every couple of months. The caregiver turnover is terrible. The food was incredibly good, then chef changeover and changeover.... She's been missing medications, they don't order perscription updates on time.... Run away, far away...

Fun for Dad Peace of Mind for Me
My 96 year old Dad has been at Provision for 2 months.
During the past 2 months he has been well cared for and is participating in many activities. (Check out the list of activities, they are geared for adults, not a revisit of things we did in day camp.) He really enjoys the restaurant style dinning and the freedom to go for meals when he chooses. The food is good, much to his doctor's and my delight he has gained 10 pounds.
The staff is the friendliest and most caring I have seen any where.
Their electronic monitoring is truly amazing, when you tour the facility make sure to check it out. The electronic monitoring even works while he is sleeping.
Since Dad has been at Provision, I am sleeping better not having to worry about how he is doing.

Like a family
I have been a resident at provisions of West Bloomfield for approximately the last year. My experience here, has been very positive in so many ways. I have Felt loved, cared for, and respected in every way. The staff here has made me feel very welcome and safe. There is someone that needs an extra special thank you as far as I’m concerned. [Name removed] has gone out of her way, above and beyond, in so many ways, to make my stay here so comfortable. Whenever I expressed a need for myself, she was right there, on top of it, and made certain that everything was taken care of, properly and efficiently. [Name removed] Is thrilled to help anyone, for anything, for any reason, to make sure everyone is taken care of . Even when I’ve had to be in a hospital from time to time, she would reach out to my family to check on me. She always made me feel so welcome, and a very important part of the community where I was living. Thank you so much to her, and everyone that helped me in my time of need.

My experience with Provisions at West Bloomfield was very positive. I was treated with the upmost respect and compassion. I felt very safe and well cared for. My care plan was professionally evaluated, and implemented to fit my needs. The atmosphere and living space is very beautiful and comforting. It was the right place for me to be. Disappointed
I went to visit my grandma and needed some assistance finding her, the staff were nothing but rude to me. They acted as though they were too busy to deal with me. I have been away at college so this is my first experience with Provision Living, therefore this was not a good first impression for me. I overheard a couple of girls talking and they were just trash talking what I assume was a couple of other co-workers. Maybe they should focus on their job and not running their mouth, just my opinion. I am in my last year of nursing school and this was not an impressive first impression for me, maybe i am just being too fussy, but i just want the best for my grandma. The building was however beautiful and has a great potential, it just needs some customer experience education. I also noted a couple of staff members eating at the front desk on entry. Maybe this is acceptable practice but i find this kind of unprofessional. I just was not impressed with what i seen but will be around for a month so will update if my opinion changes.
