Fells Like a Family Member Taking Care of My Loved One
We have recently moved from another state, and working with [name removed] has been a peace of mind knowing my loved one is taken care of. The company was willing to work with us on schedule and finding the right caregiver for my loved one. It has been a great experience having one consistent caregiver for my loved one. Companionship, hygiene care, nail polishing, and light meal making are some of the care they are able to provide.

the caregiver we have is awesome
the caregiver that we have is awesome! we use Preferred Care At Home services 3 days a week and there is no minimum that I'm aware of. the office staff are very nice, I'd give them a 5/5. I feel comfortable with them coming into my home. it did take a few different caregivers for us to find someone we really connected with, but I would still recommend this agency to others.

Good Care Overall
They do stay in good communication with me. We've had a couple of turnover on caregivers with people being sick and such. But they were able to replace them, and they let me know immediately. The caregivers have all been good. I let my loved one choose who he liked best, and they were able to accommodate his choice.

Great
They were very helpful, and I would recommend them. The caregivers they sent were good. Billing and admin were good overall. There was just a delay with a refund at the end of services.

Apologies for any delays. Not typical. Our refund policy is to return funds at the end of service once final payment clears. Typically this can take 7-10 days. Occasionally we can have a glitch and will work quickly to expidite a return when notified. We appologize for any delay. Thank you for your time on an otherwise stellar review.

Disappointed
We did not have a good experience with Preferred Care At Home. They did not do much with my mother, they would sit and watch tv with her. It was not what we expected it to be. It was so expensive and we did not get anything out of it. We would not recommend to others.

Hello, I'm sorry you had a less than wonderful experience with our staff. It is difficult to respond or defend a review without specifics. This could have been an isolated situation. However, our care providers are assigned tasks for their shift which they are expected to complete and if completed to remain engaged with the client. If there was a concern, courtesy would have been to notify us and we could have corrected the lack of attention for your loved one and resolved our relationship. I am in agreement that this is unacceptable behaviour for a caregiver. We do take pride in our efficiency and care for our clients as well as caregivers. Best of future services wherever you may find them. Evidently one bad apple CAN spoil thewhole bunch,

specializes in Alzheimers/dementia care; will cook, clean, and provide personal care; part time; rates start at $22/hour; do not do live in - could do 12 hour rotations @ around $24/hour; recommends commit to 2 weeks, and could start with a day or night shift

Thank you for your time. we are sorry you were disappointed. From your response, you indicated we did not do live in cases. We do offer that service, but that includes a sleep shift and in special cases such as yours, it can be hazardous to individuals who are up all night as a fall risk. We will not offer services under these circumstances. As your noted some of our pricing at the time is what you will find competitive in the market for similar services. Prices are tiered on location, time and level of difficulty. In these cases, we often refer families to facilities that may be a better economic or physical fit for the circumstance.

I did not like the sales pitch by [name removed] and or his tone on the phone. He was trying to make me feel guilty. Also the costs from PCAH were higher than I was paying in NY.

This is Stacy Adams Administrative Manager with Preferred Care at Home. We are sorry you had a bad experience on the phone with our client services specialist. We do not want to make anyone feel guilty in any way, In fact we pride ourselves on finding solutions for every family and every budget. Being one of the few agencies in Lee County to except cases as small as one hour with no mandatory minimums, offering split shifts as well as being certified to help our Vets get Aide and Attendance Benefits via our partner agency we are always striving to do more for our clients so we can help fit every budget. I can not attest to New York Prices. Different markets carry different pricing according to costs of living. We do not compare to areas outside our local jurisdiction. We pride ourselves on offering quality affordable care that guards our clients independence and dignity. Please feel free to reach out to me directly and we can see if we can find something to fit your families budget and needs. Thank you, Stacy Adams
