Happy at Okatie Pines!
Okatie Pines Retirement Community has a terrific staff! The managers and concierge are so helpful. We feel very comfortable with our mom there. She loves the food! It's like being on a 5 star cruise ship at this facility. The whole place always smells clean. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Happy at Okatie Pines!
Okatie Pines Retirement Community has a terrific staff! The managers and concierge are so helpful. We feel very comfortable with our mom there. She loves the food! We toured with Okatie Pines Retirement and they are terrific! In my opinion probably the best in this area, but unfortunately they were not in my budget.

Best Place We Saw!
The staff is super nice and very accommodating. The food is great. There are so many activities - it's like a cruise ship. The residents are very friendly. My mom likes it. It is pricey, but if you can afford it, it is the nicest facility in the area. And the only one that has a full kitchen in each apartment. I would highly recommend it.

It is a newer community but still very welcoming. The staff member are so friendly and helpful. We like how the dining room is spread out and the hallways are wider so when residents use their walkers there isn't a big clutter. The location works best for us and overall we have been very pleased.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a wonderful experience, Okatie is like a cruise ship. We would of love living there with all the amenities, but for our loved one it was just to overwhelming.

A Great Place to Have Independent Living
My loved one loves the community. There are lots of activities for the residents to participate in. The residents look out for each other.
The food has a good variety to choose from. I'm able to enjoy a meal with my loved one on occasion and I enjoy the food as well.

It is the most outstanding lifestyle community for independent people
Okatie Pines is an outstanding community, such a beautiful perfect place for a person like me at my age of 90. It is independent living and the lifestyle is simply great. I cannot say enough about it, this is absolutely the perfect place, and my apartment is great. They provide three meals a day and the food is just outstanding. Sometimes we get visitors who can eat with us for lunch and dinner and even they can't believe how great the meals are, it 5-star restaurant quality. There is a bus service here, if you have a doctors appointment or want to go grocery shopping you just have to sign up downstairs and they will take you there. It is super convenient and the driver [name removed] is a terrific fellow. We have a theater that seats 150 people, on Sundays there have a church service, Thursdays at 11 AM they have a church service, and Saturdays afternoon at 4 PM they have a church service. Also everyday at 6:30 PM there is a movie showing.

Great way to live!
The cleanliness of the community is great and the staff members are incredible. All of the workers cannot do enough for you, even if you ask for the smallest amount of help they come right away. The staff are always smiling, always happy, there is not a negative staff member at this community. The meals are amazing we have a wonderful staff, and the best activities they are great. The community is 3 stories with 128 apartments that range from studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom. Each apartment has different sized models, the 1 bedroom apartments have 4 different models, I believe the 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments have 3 different models.

Happiness at Okatie Pines
My husband and I are extremely happy that we chose Okatie Pines as our Retirement Facility. We love our apartment. It’s full of all of the amenities we need.
Actually many days we feel as if we are a cruise. Each day is filled with a variety of activities such as working out, Bingo, table games such as Maj Jon and movies every evening. The entire staff is friendly and very accommodating.
We love the dining facility. The meals are delicious and we have an excellent chef.
Many special activities have planned for us. Such as a “beach party. an outdoor luau, a country hoedown, etc. These are very well attended and we have lots of fun.
Our activity director is very creative and always has wonderful outings planned for everyone.
All in all we couldn’t be happier. The whole management staff is ri be congratulated.

The presentation and luncheon at Hampton Inn (no tour because the place is under construction) was excellent! The presenters gave a realistic picture of benefits of Senior Independent Living at Okatie Pines. We put down a completely refundable deposit which will give our mom priority selection of one of the units as well as many other benefits. We plan to visit another, ‘sister’ community near Charleston after the new year to get a better idea of how Okatie Pines will look and function after the New Year.
