Our Experience
My loved one was a resident at Mountain View for a very short time before she needed a higher level of care. We have no complaints about this facility. It was clean, welcoming and accommodating. The staff there at Mountain View were accessible and caring. It was a short experience, but everything was great!

Our Experience

Get More Facts Before You Sign the Paperwork
I would recommend you check other communities in the area. I moved my loved one from another city, and because it was so far away they didn't do an assessment prior to my loved one moving in. They are charging for care that my loved one doesn't need. The director is stating they don't have time to do an assessment on my loved one still due to the staff turnover.
The staff has had a turnover, and this has put the housekeeping into a place where residents are complaining.

Mountain View A Great Place for Your Mom
It is a good place for your loved one. They care about the resident, and strive to always do better.
The communication is fantastic with the staff. We are in contact weekly about my loved one. I would like to see more caregivers for the residents.

Raise rent EVERY YEAR ...
It's looks nice on the outside. Once you have your parent in the facility its a whole different story. My mom was there for over 3 yrs they raise the rent every year 160.00 to over 200.00 depending on your room size. I had to move my mom because of the increase EVERY YEAR.They are short handed alot of the time, most of the staff doesn't interact with the residence. Other then that it a nice place.

Impressive tour!! Entered the community with a great greeting from a pleasant lady at the front desk. I was escorted to a waiting area until the director came to give me a tour. I was offered ice water and a warm smile. The director was very nice and knowledgeable about her building and answered all my questions. Nursing staff seem very nice and inventive. Everyone seemed very happy, residents and staff. I chose this community above all others around because the homelike feel and trust I have in them to take care of my mom is there. I did not feel this way with the other communities around. Great job Mountain View.

Most amazing place on earth for seniors
This is the most beautiful community in all of Mendocino County and the only Assisted Living around. All the management team take so much time to ensure all the staff are trained and residents are taken care of. The food if fabulous. The weight training class is amazing and all the great new activities and events. The activities director does so much to make it special for all the residents. The Executive Director is the best I have seen ever at this community and I have lived here along time. The nursing department does all they can to make sure residents are always happy and well taken care of. I am very pleased with all that has been changed in the last couple of years and am proud to live here.

I am very pleased with the care given to. my Mom here at Mountain View. i cannot pick a single department as all caregivers, medical team, dietary team, and executive directors go above and beyond to serve Mom as well as comforting our family.

Great niece.
Our Aunt has been a resident at Mountain View Assisted Living and the care she has received has been outstanding. She has been a resident for three years. The staff is always courteous and professional. We highly recommend Mountain View Assisted Living. The food is excellent. The facility is clean. Her room is maintained and always clean. The care for her has been very professional, caring and always with empathy.
The activities have been a great asset and always includes her family. No doubt this is a five star facility. The new Director Susan has made some great changes and repairs are always done. Thank you to all the staff.

My thoughts about Mountain View Assisted Living
Mountain View Assisted Living is a wonderful faciltity. The staff are very helpful and always friendly. The facility is clean and always smells good. It feels like home when you walk in. And this is what family members like to see because their loved ones live here. I think they offer absolutely 5 star food. I have eaten here on occasion and enjoyed the food very much. You can see that the chef takes pride in his recipes and provides a large variety of wonderful dishes for all. It is like restaurant food, which I feel is a plus. the atmosphere when arriving here is very pleasant. I love that when you walk in, the environment is clean and smells good. They have beautiful landscapes and let residence hang bird feeders outside their windows, which is lovely. They try to have events for the residence and family for many holidays, which make it fun for all. The staff really go out of their way to make these holiday events a lot of fun for all. Teas and parties....they are all fun! They offer a wide variety of activities for the residence to participate in. I especially am happy that they offer bible study. My mom loves to go to that. Arts and crafts, t.v. watching in a group setting, exercise class, etc. is wonderful. I would recommend Mountain View Assisted Living to anyone looking for a wonderful new home for a loved one, or for themselves. Thank you.

Exemplary personal Care
My 100 year old mother has been at Mountain View almost six years. Our experiance over the past three years has been exemplary.
Staff has been cooperative whenever needed.
Activities have been available and appropriate every day, including weekends.
Management has been innovative, cooperative and considerate,without exception.
We have recommended Mountain View to friends who need or have relatives who need assisted living.

[Name removed] and her staff work hard to care for our parents. They have made Mt. View feel like a home, not just an institution. They have been flexible in addressing our parents needs and they communicate issues in a very timely manner. They have recently made improvements in their dining facility and the menu options which has made our parents happy.

I recommend Mountain View Care Facility
Mountain View Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ukiah is well run. They care about their residents. It is a calm and loving environment. The environment is kept clean. They offer many choices of things to do, games, puzzles, exercise classes, bible study, outings, grocery trips, and the mobile library comes biweekly. Plus many fun events. They offer hair and nail care. Nursing care is 24 hours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided.

Mountain View is the best thing that ever happened for our family! The staff is absolutely amazing! The care given to my mother-in-law is beyond comparison. We actually had her placed in a private care home and moved her here due to the level of care.
The activities the Lifestyle Director, [name removed], plans many wonderful activities for the residents. Parties, happy hour, ice cream socials, etc...

Nice tour
We had a nice tour of Mountain View Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff answered all of the questions we had. It was a clean and well-kept community. It seemed a little too quiet for what we were looking for, it didn't seem like there was enough staff interaction with the residents.

Corporate should be ashamed!
I have lived in Ukiah for 30 years and have worked in the medical community for over a decade, I am well aware of Mountain View Assisted Living. Being the only of its kind in the area, Mountain View has struggled; I know of three families now that are looking to relocate loved ones! While the staff that works there for the most part are wonderful people, the leadership of Corporate America needs some work. They seem to have a very difficult time keeping leadership in the building. The end of last year they were making head way in the community. Mountain View was lead by a woman named [Removed], that was making strides in the perception of the community. She was not "corporate", she had a genuine love for the building and the residents that occupied it. This was the first time that the medical community had taken note! She had taken over a building that was in serious distress locally, and began to make people re-think their stance. At some point this year she disappeared. I have heard through the grape-vine it was a "corporate" decision. They apparently don't know what they had, because since then they have fallen more from grace than ever before. Mountain View is lovely, the people that work there are angels; but whoever is responsible for that territory doesn't know how to mentor its leadership, and see the gold through the shadows. I hope they can find an equivalent replacement someday, or they are going to continue to see a harsh community perception. For [Removed]; I hope she has moved on and found a place that prizes community, respect, resident first mentality, and a corporation that can see the forest through the trees. For a building that prizes their website on resident satisfaction and community; they perhaps should find/keep leadership that promotes and lives that philosophy.

I would recommend this community.
They offer a daily exercise class that dad likes to participate in. They have outings to some places including stores, dinner or the movies. They have a house dog and the residents are also able to have pets. The community is well maintained and very nice. Dad seems to like the food. They offer transportation to doctor's appointments. The staff are friendly and attentive.
