Woodlands Village is an older building but we are happy with how it is kept clean and its well appointment. We are happy with our experience so far, the staff are very helpful and attentive. They have more staffing so they are able to get things done and keep up good communication. Our loved one is a tough critic when it comes to food and she has yet to complain. Also there activities are great, there is always different things to do and she really enjoys the bingo and exercises classes.... Read more

Holiday Woodlands Village is a good value for the money. Apartments are large with plenty of closet space.
I toured Holiday Woodlands Village and it just boiled down to timing. The other community had availability at the time, and I had a need.

The lady that gave the tour was sick maybe allergies, and couldn't get much information from her. That place is a bit older. A resident was still able to smoke and you could smell it when you walked in.

This community was not as nice as the one I picked now for my loved one. We were looking for something different.

Great staff and facility. The best very caring.
Enjoyed dinner on Thanksgiving. Great time and great food.
The Thanksgiving dinner was great.
Very attentive to the needs of residents and very commutative.
My mother-in-law has lived here for then years. It truly became her home. This year she's moved from independent to assisted care. We are thankful she can remain in her home and we feel very comfortable visiting her here. Staff and care is high quality. The age of the facility is a concern.
I am 98 years old and have lived here at the woodlands for 14 years. My husband was in a nursing home 2 miles from here and I wanted to be as close as I could to spend my days with him. After he died 3 1/2 years later I loved my apartment, the staff is friendly, many daily activities if desired and I had make friends, I could see no reason to leave. I am happy and contented and pray each day that God will let me close my eyes here in my apartment.
Very nice residence. We so appreciated you caring for our Aunt [name removed].
My mom really likes it here. She's happy with her apartment, which is right in the middle of everything so she doesn't have to walk far for dining or activities. They could use a little more guest parking and an area for pick-ups next the handicap ramp. The only other issue is there's a moldy smell in her air conditioner. We reported that, and so did housekeeping, so hopefully they'll be taking care of that soon. I know they've lost a lot of employees with the pandemic, so they're a little behind with cleaning and things. But even though they're short-staffed, they're going out of their way to make sure things are still getting taken care of. The food is good overall. And overall, it's been really good experience for my mom.

The residents were all joking around with the staff members as we toured. The residents looked well loved by them. While the building has wear and tear the emotions were perfect environment for my grandma
This community has some issues. It is owned by the same people my community is now but they are very different and nothing of the same. I have another loved one there and there are just always issues.

November 3, 2021Hello, we are disappointed in your experience at Woodlands Village. We aim to provide fulfilling experiences and appropriate environments for all residents. If you have any specific examples you would like to share, please reach out to the local team directly.
Our family had an in person and it was disgusting. It smelled, it was dirty and not cared for. The property was utter disappointment, it was not painted and had torn screens everywhere.

November 3, 2021Hi Diane,, thank you for sharing your feedback. We regret you did not have a great experience in our community and are confident that this does not represent the entire community. We would love the opportunity for a second chance to show you how great our leadership is. If you have any further concerns or recommendations, please email feedback@holidayseniorliving.com or call the community’s General Manager.
I would encourage you to not place your loved one here. We have reported the community to the state due to rodents and neglect. The food was always cold or undercooked for my loved one. We had to bring our own microwave for our loved one to warm their food up, or bring them something different to eat.

Response from Holiday Woodlands Village
September 13, 2021Hi Sheryll, thank you for taking the time to rate and leave a review. We're sorry to hear about your experience with the room. It is our understanding that the state and health department came as soon as the issues were reported, but did not file any citations or find any issues with the room. As for the food, we understand if the food was not as hot as when it is served fresh in the dining room - the temperature was likely cooler after being delivered to your mother's room. We always encourage our residents to eat in the dining room, but we will take your feedback into account in the future when residents request to have their food brought to the room.
The staff is caring, understanding, helpful and kind. They know my loved one by their first name. There are times that I've been able to eat with my loved one, and they provide several choices of meals. They are quick to serve meals to everyone. There is a change in the menu of food monthly. The administrators take turns in serving coffee in the dining room. All of the administrators know the residents by name. The family feels that our loved one could be on a cruise ship with all the different activities offered. Some of the activities include: painting, music, bingo, stretches, mystery bus tours, and more for the residents to choose from.

The staff members here are a 10 plus, they are terrific and will do anything to make sure you are happy and comfortable. At first I was having trouble with the meals being a diabetic and vegetarian, they were not taking care of my diabetic restrictions. However the chef sat down with me to go over the meals and ever since then the chef has been very accommodating. He will bring me fresh fruit a few times a week. Now there is a new chef, and that chef even sat down with me to discuss my restrictions. He now will make me a big fresh salad for dinner if I want, and I can order all of the fresh vegetables off the menu if i wanted. I have been extremely pleased with that. The community has a good amount of board games right now, table tennis and a pool table. They are starting to bring back the biggest activities, they have already had two music festivals which was a lot of fun.
