I have lived at Walden 9 years. It's a perfect place and my home. I am very comfortable here. The management is outstanding, the staff so nice. They all really care about me! The activities are mostly good there are some I cannot take part in due to my age and physical abilities. The food is so so. Need a better variety and things for old people..

I moved here years ago -- my children chose this place so I could be close to them. Of course I miss my friends in [city name removed], but [name removed] my cat and I are are pretty happy here. The staff is great -- very caring! The food, very rarely but sometimes not to my liking, but you can't please everyone! Almost forgot -- our activities director has planned great activities for us that help us stay out of mischief! ??

Review of Walden Place

Lived in this community for 1.5 years and experienced a 3-week lockdown for the flu in 2019 and 3 months in 2020 for the COVID-19 pandemic. The staff has worked hard and done well during these problem times. For whatever reason, the diet has been sometimes good. The meals often are not well balanced with pasta and rice frequently presented, 6 or 8 times/week. The services both full time and part-time do a very good job. Activities and support are as good as possible.

Review of Walden Place

Walden Place has violated it's contract with me, in most all aspects, since my arrival during alleged Corona Virus; though no cases validated here. Food is minimal and foul - sometimes rancid. I must purchase my own food or starve. Housekeeping occurs only biweekly. Visitors - even family - are not allowed! This place is not good, but very depressing! It does have a few well - meaning employees.

Hello, thank you for your review. We understand that during this time we have had to put in place protocols for the safety of our residents. Our team has been working hard to deliver 3 chef-prepared meals daily directly to residents' doors. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please reach out to the community directly. Thank you

I think living here is good with the exception of the food. I think they serve mashed potatoes too often as well as broccoli or broccoli/cauliflower combination. I don't like the salads when it contains whole leaves of something I've never seen before.

I like living here but why should I have to pay to have my apartment cleaned, if house keeping doesn't want to clean for me. They could offer to let me use a vacuum and I will do it.

Friendly and engaging staff!

When I have spoken to the staff at Walden Place, they are always very concise with exactly what they are doing to assist the residents and ensure their stays are great. The staff is all very friendly and I have always felt that my aunt is very well taken care of. They all know my aunt by name and they all show a high level of compassion towards her. Considering the alternatives, Walden Place is a good value considering the wide variety of services available to the residents. Especially before the Covid-19 pandemic, there were always lots of activities available for residents to participate in. Anything from crossword puzzles to group activities, they always had something to entertain themselves with. During community lock down following the Covid-19 pandemic, Walden Place has been great about providing similar activities directly to the resident's rooms. Overall, I believe my aunt is in the best type of community that she could be in considering her care needs. They have checked all the right boxes!

My friend love it here

I helped my friend find this community and it is such a good fit for her. The staff is great we love them. The atmosphere is warm and homey feeling. The food is great. And they will always have snacks out if they want to snack. They go into her apartment 1x weekly to clean up and it never smells in this community. She enjoys the daily activities like bingo or a bus ride. She gets her hair done in the salon there. There is a grill outside if they want to use it. The apartments are spacious and they have little balconies. I would recommend this to people.
