We chose Family Ministries because we saw an ad on the TV and thought we would try it and see what was offered and it turned out to be a very good experience. They were very informative and good with communication. Overall it was a great experience for all of us, especially my mother in law. She was not very happy in beginning, but when it came down to it she was satisfied here. I would definitely recommend to others looking.
We chose Family Ministries at the time because we were self pay and they were within the budget they could afford. We thought since it was ministry based it would be an excellent fit for my mom, and it is in a beautiful setting with beautiful view. Unfortunately, they over promised and undelivered. She had repeated falls while she was here and was in the hospital 3 times within a 5 day period. It was difficult to get the head nurse to ever call me back. The staff was not communicating, I would take things for my mom and they would call me 2 days later and tell me she was out of things that I had just brought her. A lot of the things I bought for her disappeared. It was a very frustrating experience.
The staff is VERY friendly before admitting a love one. Once this person was there I had to get all the meds and yes I agreed to do this. I got no updates on how this person was doing and when he passed away there was not one person from the home that called and said they were even sorry. I really thought it was going to be a great place but it is just like the rest of them a business. All they are after is the money part of it. I thought they cared .
After being at another assisted living facility we found The John M. Reed Center. My mom felt very much at home here and was very well taken care of. She called it "home." My mom loved the food that was served and the dietary staff asked her if she has special requests. The staff seemed to love and care for my mother. I will always be thankful for that. I will always be thankful for that. I highly recommend The John M. Reed Center!
Like or love this community. Don't change anything, unless lower price. Your staff exceeds my expectations. Hopefully can come back to visitation again soon.
Very clean - residents are happy. They are well taken care of. Seems to have good staff.
We love John Reed! The staff is kind and they go above and beyond to ensure my Dad is happy and stays healthy. They are attentive and caring. The facility is lovely. We are blessed to have found John Reed.
Family Ministries John M. Reed does as extraordinary job of caring for their residents and taking care of the facilities. The staff truly care about the residents. Not only do they help them but they talk with them and interact with them; playing games, braiding hair, doing nails, and other activities. These are the interactions that let the residents know they are not only taken care of but they are known and valued. The facility is always very clean and inviting. Due to the great air quality the stubborn yellow tinge in my mothers white hair was gone within her first month of living at Family Ministries John M. Reed. I have also been impressed with the diligence to detail that has been taken to ensure the safety of every resident during the current pandemic. It is truly a blessing for my mother to be living at Family Ministries John M. Reed.
When I moved here, I realized I never wanted to leave. I love this quiet and peaceful place. It is a God-blessed family.
I like the friendly, clean environment. It's just a good place to be! The staff is good, too!
Family Ministries is a very loving and caring family, I've been here 3 years in [date removed]. We have quite a few events and activities. 'Fun' we sit in the 'courtyard' on nice days. The staff works very hard to make it pleasant for us patients. The food is very very good. I would refer this place to anyone.
