Resting on over 30 acres in Austin, Texas, Solstice Senior Living at Austin aims to offer its residents a peaceful sanctuary embedded in nature that also creates convenient access to Austin’s intriguing surroundings.
This community offers a number of services designed to maximize residents’ well-being, independence, and safety. Solstice is the answer!
The entire staff is amazing. [name removed] has compassionately guided us through every step of the way and engages every resident as a friend. She regularly texts us pics of my mom enjoying her new place. She is phenomenal. [name removed] is also remarkable and has even schedule meeting with me to discuss ways to add to everyone's experience. The staff cares and pays attention. They have awesome events and activities, and the food is delicious.

Off to a very good start!
My parents moved into Independent Living two months ago and are very pleased to have found Solstice.
The apartments are perfectly-sized and they enjoy having a patio to sit outside on with their plants.
They LOVE the food there. The taste and portions are excellent.
It is also an excellent value as it comes at a much lower price tag than comparable facilities.
The staff there are excellent and they have a variety of activities.
The one area where they could improve is probably in communication with the residents about trouble-shooting issues when they first move in. For example, no one assisted my parents in understanding how to use their emergency alert badges. They have also had some confusion as to the transportation system there. It could prove useful, given that many residents are not tech-savvy, to provide schedules and instructions that are easy to understand and follow.

Very nice people and community
First of all, you must meet [name removed]. She is amazing and cares deeply about each resident. While talking with her, residents would often just come up and hug her and say hello.
I toured the facility for my mom. The lunch menu was great and the food was delicious, much better than I expected.
There was a real sense of community among the residents.
The building is older and not stunning from the outside but the rooms are very nice and airy with lots of light. I was very impressed with [name removed] and her staff.
Everyone seemed very pleased to be there.
I hope it works out so we can move my mom here.

Awesome place!
Moving my mom to independent living was a very painful decision. The person we worked with at Solstice made it so much better just by her supportive and cheerful attitude. Instead of losing a family member (that’s how I felt) we ended up gaining a huge family with everyone at Solstice being so kind and caring. It is a very supportive community and I wouldn’t want my mom any other place. Thanks Solstice Austin!

Solstice Review
Just moved Dad here to this location and totally love it! From the tour to the signing of the contract, total comfort was at the top of the Agenda and it's been one of the easiest moves far as adjustment. The Staff has all been very helpful, courteous and attentive throughout the whole process and it couldn't have been any easier.
The food is fantastic and I would rate it up there with some of the best restaurants in Austin!!

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have visited this exceptional community. From the moment I stepped through the welcoming doors, I knew I had discovered a truly remarkable place that offers much more than just a place to live.
One of the standout features at Solstice in Austin is the all-inclusive meal service. Gone are the days of grocery shopping and meal planning. The dining experience is not just about the food; it's a chance to connect with friends and neighbors who share the same zest for life. The lively conversations and laughter we shared that day with current residents - made my day! A very memorable experience.

My Brother
My Brother Stuart lives here. Stuart retired from HEB 10 years ago and then just sort of existed in his tiny apartment. He's deaf and not very social so it was hard for him to fill his days. He was very lonely and at Solstice they just embraced him and his culture. They started an ASL class on Saturdays and meet and learn ASL just so they can communicate with him more. It's a very tolerant community. The people and staff have just been great to him and it gives me so much comfort that he can live out his life with such a group of kind and caring people. He's made friends and goes to all the activities and is enjoying himself. He does line dancing and art class. He goes to social hours and out to eat every week with a group. They don't seem to have a problem with him or communicating. I'm so grateful I found this place and I would reccoment it 100%

WOW
What a great place this is! My Mom has lived here for 3 years and we just love it. You won't find miles of concrete here or a busy intersection. It's tucked away in an old South Austin neighborhood surrounded by trees and wildlife. There is plenty of room for nature hikes, bird watching and a cute little creek running through it. Mom's favorite thing to do is sit on her patio in the evening and just enjoy the nature. The food is great and there is lots to do. They have cards, dominoes, exercise classes, crafts, movies. They have big parties with live music and drinks and food, social hours, and the dining room food is awesome! I joined Mom tonight for dinner and we pigged out on pot stickers that were just as good as any restaurant you could ever go to. I love this place and hope to move in myself one day. Mom loves it too.

If we could give the friendliness of the staff members 10 stars we would, they are just the most wonderful people. They keep the folks busy with activities. Our loved one loves the food and the chef, however but strongly dislikes the bread products and that milk is only at breakfast. The activities have been fantastic! She is always busy, lets just say our loved one met someone special at speed dating! Before this surgery our loved one was coming back to herself, it has been life changing.

Wonderful Experience
So far Solstice has been great. It has been a wonderful, welcoming, and supportive environment for Mom to transition into senior living. They offer a lot of activities. The food seems healthy and good. And the apartment is great, with lots of light.

Caring Community
My loved one loves the food. We picked this community because, the tour person was so nice and fantastic. The entire community was kind. You really feel at home, and they are so caring. It's reallu unique, and a large facility which is on 40 acres. It's worth it, and a good value. Overall, I am really happy all around.

A Good Place to Be Whole
It's a good place to live a whole, peaceful life. The people are exceedingly friendly, both the staff and the residents. The point person who gets you signed up, [name removed], was very knowledgeable, approachable, and accessible. The staff continue to keep in contact after your loved one moves in and give you updates. They ask questions. It's not a scenario where they just get you in and then they're done. They still care and continue to make sure you're having a good experience. My person says the food is great. And it's a good value - much less expensive than other places we looked at.

Community Tour
Our tour at Solstice Senior Living at Austin was good. The location was great. The director was very informative, very positive, and very helpful in making our decision. It didn’t fit for my sister due to her mobility issues and because of her dog. The backyard wasn't enclosed and was rough with tree roots, which would be hard to navigate with a walker. It was a much older unit and needed some upgrades. Also the sidewalks weren’t smooth anymore, with roots coming up under the surface. The dining room was on the second floor, and with only one very slow elevator, people were having to wait to get up there. Overall impression - there were some positives, but the mobility challenges were the biggest factor for us.

Solstice is a place that really cares!
Solstice is a very caring and very personable place.
The administrator and director really reached out to my mother-in-law when she first moved in. They made her feel very welcomed and wanted there. They offer transportation to appointments and stores, they allow pets, and I've heard the food is really good. Overall I would absolutely recommend Solstice Senior Living at Austin to others.

It's an excellent place for my disabled handicap family member and he has made a lot of friends. They make it a point to introduce people to each other. The offer a free sign language course once a week. My brother is deaf. This is very meaningful for our family knowing this. They keep such a friendly atmosphere. It is a wonderful place.
The meals are excellent and included in the price. It covers utilities, maintenance, cable, room, internet, etc. Everything is included in this monthly expense. The meals offer a variety of choices to choose from. The facility is in the middle of downtown south Austin. By central market.
It is very convenient to live in this area. The apartments in this area cost more alone in that area. This is located on 40 acres with walking trail so you are still on the property while going for a walk. They offer cottages as well. They have parties every Friday night as well as activities throughout the day everyday.. I cannot speak well enough on this place.
The people who work there have been there a long time. They must treat the employees well to be there for so long. The staff is very friendly

I enjoy activities and feel like I am adjusting well. I feel like I am fitting in. Some days are good, some days are bad. Currently the elevator needs serviced. We did have plenty notice of the servicing appointment. We were given time to make arrangements due to this.

Budget friendly clean place
Solstice looks older, but it is run just as well as fancier facilities and is much more reasonably priced. It makes it very convenient for him to have access to things that he needs. The apartments are on the smaller side and some are oddly shaped, but they are adequate. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.
