Great Experience At Eastdale!
The staff are very caring and very good about checking on the residents if they don't see them at mealtime, etc. They would also call me if they were concerned about my husband (who was also a resident here). My husband loved the meals and still talks about the good food that they prepared. The housekeeping was good, although they did miss a time or 2 due to the housekeeper quitting suddenly. My husband and I both would recommend this facility and will definitely come back if we need to.

Tour experience
I would never put my loved one here based off of our tour experience. Right when we walked in it smelled of urine. No one was at the front door to greet us and we just walked right in. We were walking around the facility and no one stopped to question us. I had to stop a staff member and they were just not personable or professional. We left within 5 minutes and knew this was not the place.

They are currently short-staffed but appear to be working to resolve that issue. The menu is limited, and the evening meal is a disappointment. But the staff that are there are extremely welcoming. And the apartment is adequate to meet my loved one's needs.

Great Management and Good Value for the Money
The manager is fantastic and will listen to the family if there are issues that arise. You most likely will have issues that arises and the manager will try to find a solution quickly.
There have been sandwiches served for dinner and a bigger meal at lunch.
This is an older building; however, if you compare the value for the area the value is actually good here.
I would recommend you take a tour to see if this is a good place for your loved one. There is a physical therapy office in the complex if your loved one would need it. You are able to utilize an independent contractor to assist with medication management.

I am a new resident and would like to say that from first arriving to settling in it has been a praise worthy experience. It is an exceptionally, well run facility with the care, comfort and happiness of the residents being top priority. There exist a loving, caring atmosphere 1 is promoted by personnel and carried out by all employees. It is a place I can truly caooll "home".

Love My Home
Ive lived here at Eastdale Estates for about 2 years now. Its cozy here, the residents are so friendly and warm and so is the staff.
If you get a little lonely in your room just take a walk down the hallway and visit a friend or go to an activity and play a game or have a snack!. Enjoy your time.

Amazing Community
Wonderful staff, and so much to do. They have a large activity room that seems to have something going on all the time. They have something for everybody there, whether it is reading, games, music, even billiards. Definitely a a hidden gem in a peaceful location.

We chose Eastdale Estates because there are 4 different levels of senior health care and this was more of a retirement community versus a nursing home or place where people need more help. I wanted her to be able to keep her independence but if she falls someone can be there to assist her. The apartment sizes are more than adequate for what she needs. The activities provided are outstanding. The environment overall is very safe and is close to a medical facility. I would recommend them to others looking.

My Review of Eastdale Estates
It was a great tour of the community. The community sales leader ([name removed]) was awesome. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed in making this decision. She took the time to listen to our needs. When we left we felt like we had a new friend. We met other stuff members them were very friendly. The community estates was a beautiful facility. It has so much to offer, the apartment, activities, and amenities. I would recommend it highly.

Don't Send Your Loved Ones to Eastdale if They Wanderers
I would tell them not to go here. The community is liars. They don't speak the truth. The community told me one thing and then another thing happened. My loved one is a wonderer, and the community stated the community was secure. They allowed me to speak to the nurse on staff to give me reassurance on my concerns, and that it would be fine for my loved one. My loved one was able to leave the community on three different occasions. The police had to be called three different times to find my loved one.

The community does not have anyone there after 5 pm witch we understand. communication could be better it is very hard to get ahold of staff. I would like to receive an email with updates once a week. My loved one is very happy here and they have been very good to my loved one.

Overall good experience
Eastdale Estates was her only option but it has been a good experience so far. I was nervous putting her someplace but she has made friends with people who have similar care needs and that has really helped her spirits a lot. The meals here are chef prepared, he has been here for years and she enjoys the meals. A couple if the things have not been happy with communication, I called corporate and they forwarded my concerns to the facility which I had already talked to. Also they know our situation and they increased her rent without notifying me. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

I am Highly Disappointed with the Conditions I'm Living In
I would recommend you look elsewhere. My room hasn't been cleaned in a month. They can't keep good people, the bookkeeper just quit after about two months. With all these changes it has to be management. It seems like the staff are leaving quickly.
The food is atrocious . If I didn't purchase my own food, I would go hungry. The beef is pink in the middle. The tuna fish salad is awful. The food quality has dropped drastically. If I could move I would move. The chicken salad was like room temperature. The items I ate for lunch has made me nauseated. I know the chef is doing the best he can do.
I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth here. The community provides towels and wash clothes are no longer pick these up for me.
I wish the community would change the quality of food. I think they need a new manager of the community.

An upper-class place
We chose this community because it was in a better location and it was independent living. The apartment that she is in is the smallest one, and it is really all she needs. They offer different sizes as well. The best part about the facility is the food. It is not just cafeteria food, it is chef prepared meals. We ate with her before COVID and it was very good and fresh, it impressed us quite a bit. I also love that she is able to interact with residents who are like her and she has made friends. I would recommend.

Being known and genuinely cared for
The staff seem to genuinely care for and know each resident and their needs pretty well. It is amazing to me how the managers and staff keep the residents and their families all straight. The chef has done a tremendous job in consistently providing safe nourishing meals and making special requests when possible. The only reason for not having 5 stars is I do think the place could use a little facelift and offer a few new activities once the virus has passed. Suggestions would be small gardening projects ( like repotting plants), small dog visitors ( dog therapy), and inviting volunteers to play instruments in the lobby before or after meals.
