I was able to get my parents in short notice and with some bumps in the road. The staff was excellent and I can see that they really care for the residents. They are helpful and kind! Cypress may not be shiny and new, but they really make sure that they are there for the residents. I tested the pull cord in the room and a staff member was there to help in one minute! Thanks so much Cypress!
We toured Cypress Place and it was a nice facility. All of the staff members were extremely friendly.
We were able to tour in person even though it was during covid time. I really liked the facility and the people were freiendly and welcoming.
Overall it is a great community for my loved one. My loved one has adaptive well. The community has accepted them into their community. They have music, Wii bowling, and daily devotions are some of the activities that the community has available.
We toured Cypress Place and it was a clean and beautiful facility. Something I noticed was I toured 2 separate times and once was around lunch time, I never saw one other resident while I was there both times.
The staff really looks out for the residence and shows compassion and kindness. I would recommend this community to others
The activities director can be a little abrupt on the phone. I feel I'm paying too much for the care my loved one is receiving. The activities include bingo and movies in the morning. I feel they should have the residents move more for the activities.
I chose this community because it was small and intimate. They respond immediately if there is an issue or I call them, very attentive to my loved one. Room sizes are average, I would love for them to include cable TV for my loved one. She loves breakfast and enjoys it every day. I would definitely recommend the community.
I visited a lot of facilities before we chose Cypress Place. We chose Cypress Place because when you walked in the door, you felt welcomed. It didn't feel like you were walking into the nursing home. The private room my dad was in here were decent size. He was not very fond about some of the food here. I would want others to know that the head nurse [name removed] is a very compassionate person. When he was put in the hospital, she would visit everyday. She was very thorough and helpful. Overall, I would recommend.
My contact there is [name removed] who was most helpful and could answer all my questions. I had the virtual visit this morning and saw the room that Mom would have should we choose them. I like them because they have 6 levels of care, so basically once Mom went there she would not have to leave. Plus, it is right down the street from my house.
My dad was only there for a month before he passed. The staff was wonderful.

Our condolences to you and your family. We're glad we could offer compassion during this difficult transition. Best wishes to you.
Although everyone was very nice it is small PT was doing therapy in halls outcoves no specific room. My mom felt a lot of these residents were inactive and she wants more activity and active residents.
My Mother loves living at Cypress Place. It is a smaller facility which gives it that homey feel. I can’t be happier with the love and care my Mother is receiving.
Cypress Place on Midland Parkway in Summerville SC is not where you would want to place your loved one. The meals supplied are substandard and I am shocked and appalled at the scraps they offer. I had to either bring her food or take her out to eat to supplement her diet. For $4000 a month this is not expected nor acceptable. In the last several months there has been a turnover of staff and obviously there are issues. My mother had money stolen from her wallet in her purse in her room this week. I never gave her cash before to keep in her wallet for 6 months. I had to move away for a week before she reunited with her family in another state and I left her some cash for her flight today. It was taken by someone working there. I would not even consider placing a loved one here.
Our first visit to Cypress House determined that mom could not be a resident due to wound conditions that she had. The staff was very nice and professional and they made alternative suggestions for her situation at the time. After her wounds healed they were my first choice for where I wanted her to go. They gave her an assessment to determine her health and cognitive abilities and all was good. In the days leading up to her move they were very accommodating. Everyone is friendly and the place is clean and they have an upbeat atmosphere. Unfortunately the very day she was to move in my mother passed away. In the days following as we removed her items they continued to be very supportive and kind. I also liked that their prices were all inclusive with no surprises. I had heard good things about them from several friends and believe they were right in recommending this place for my mom.
While looking at other locations for my love one I discovered that his is the sister property of Pinewood Place so it’s laid out pretty similarly. The staff team here is just as nice, friendly, and knowledgeable.
This community is very nice. The tour lasted about an hour maybe a little less. The staff took time to explain pricing and what they offered they asked about what my moms care level needs where they were interested in our circumstances and what we were looking for. The community itself was very nice and the staff we met were friendly and kind. The residents that we saw looked happy.
Very Clean and Super Friendly. All the residents that were observed seemed to be happy.
I have no complaints of how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. I am very impressed with the staff and their aggressive approach to make sure my mom is getting offered the activities as well as other events. They are always going to her room to try and get her out and involved in what is going on throughout the day. They defiantly try their best and I appreciate that very much. Overall I am very satisfied with the care and would recommend it to anyone.
I'am overall satisfied with everything this community has done for our family. My mother is doing well since her move to this community. I do feel she is safe, and in good hands in this facility. Everything about this community is really nice, and it is a facility I would recommend to my family, and friends.
