It is clean and the staff is friendly. \nThey seem understaffed sometimes. But mostly they do good. \nMy mom loves the food. Especially compared to other places she has been. \nMy mom isn't very mobil so she doesn't go to the events or excursions that much but we wanted her to have options instead of a really boring place. \nThe price seems really high. It was more than other places when we were looking but we've had 3 price raises since she moved in. Her care level is a 3 now but she doesn't even need that much more help than before. \nMy mom has [medical need removed] and she is struggling with weakness and shaking. The [date removed] she was hospitalized and they took her off some of the medication her doctor and hospice were recommending and she has improved but that's when they upped her care level. They say she is a two person transfer now but they never send two people in the room. She transfers by herself and only needs one person to watch. \nDuring the time my mom was so weak, I tried calling the head nurse [name removed] to discuss my moms condition and she was very slow to call me back. She is always in meetings it seems like. \nHer hospice nurse has been good but has dropped the ball a few times too. She is doing better. \nSo I like the place but now the price my mom is paying seems way too high. She only eats twice a day and doesn't really do the activities and so it's starting to not be a great fit. There are no temporary staff here, all of the staff that do work at The Ridge are very knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's care. But everybody seems to be doing the best they can. My loved one seems to enjoy the food. And the activities are great.
