Overall satisfied with Carson Plaza
The facility is aged but well maintained. Units have poor functioning wall heater/ac units. It has been many months since they have had a driver for their van. Dining room has lovely views. Staff is always delightful, very friendly and enjoyable. I am very grateful for Carson Plaza providing a safe, comfortable and pleasant living environment for my Mom.

Nice Community,
So far everything with Holiday Carson Plaza has been good. What we like the most about this community is the location, the staff members working there as well as the climate. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Holiday Carson Plaza to other families.

Sad place going downhill
Sadly this is going downhill & is too expensive for too little. The facility is untidy - the staff is oblivious - the food is DISGUSTING - who are these "COOKS" -- released felons?? Too Bad terrible.

A Great Place to Live
Mom says the staff are all wonderful, and the apartment choices are suitable for a wide variety of needs. I would recommend Carson Plaza to others looking.

Nice Community
The staff members were very friendly. I wasn't there long enough for the activities. The value for cost is high but reasonable. The reason I only was there a couple of weeks, no smoking area, had to be 30 feet away from the building, during the snowy weather, I fell walking around. The final reason was some other people that lived there it was what they wanted & how they wanted it. A lady spilled her water on the floor & I went to wipe it up so nobody would slip & fall & that one person yelled at me to stop, the lady who spilled her water should have to wipe it up!

A great fit
Carson Plaza really is a great place. The people are super friendly and welcoming.
They are having some trouble getting chefs just like everyone else. The food was really good to start out but it has gone downhill - so that could be better.
The apartment sizes are very good.
Overall I am impressed and I would recommend Carson Plaza to others.

Great place to live
Things are good here. It's a very homey place with a great atmosphere. Mom is still trying to adjust, but they're doing their best to help her with it. They also have 2 residents here whom are resident ambassadors. They help new residents adjust, learn their way around, get used to meal times, etc. We really like that and it's been helpful for mom's adjustment. The staff does a great job! They've had quite a few changes in staff lately (both care and administration staff), but the new staff is just as wonderful as the old was. So it's been good. The meals have actually improved lately, I'm not sure if they've gotten a new chef or what has changed, but they're better than they used to be and they were never bad. But definitely better now. They play the piano for the residents during meal times, which is nice. The activities director was really great, but she's no longer here. I'm not sure if they've filled her position yet or not, but it seems like maybe they haven't. Overall we're very pleased with this facility. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Going downhill
Seemed like a good place when we first moved mom in. There now seems to be lots of staff turn over and shortage of staff, especially in the kitchen and transportation areas which were two of the main reasons we chose this facility. Their website says chef prepared meals however there were days when mom received Costco prepared meals as they had no cook. At no time was a reimbursement given for the lack of services they say are part of the price. Hoping this new company starts doing better

They Made It A Good Experience
I would tell others that this is a pretty good experience for the price. I would recommend you look at the community to see if it will work for your loved one. The staff communication has been great with the family.
The community has activities for the residents to participate in, if they choose to.

This facility needs better management. They never visit residents in their apartments to inquire about their needs or to check up on their employee's duties, so supervision. Outside building need attention, badly previous managers managed: we never see the regional manager we used to.

It's not a bad place, just consider what your loved one will need.
All in all, it was a good experience. If you need more assistance than what you think , it's probably not the right place. They didn't have a lot of care assistance there, and some of the staff were older ladies who couldn't really physically assist. It's more of a housing community than assisted living. And they do advertise that. The staff were nice and friendly, no complaints there. They just thought they could take care of my loved one, and they couldn't. So that was a frustrating experience. And it was not the greatest as we transitioned out of the community. Some of that is on me, some of that is on them. In the end, it's no one's direct fault. But if you don't need a tot of extra assistance, it would be a good place for you.
