Excellent Memory Care for our mother.
Following a challenging extended hospital stay our mother has found a home at Atria Woodbriar Park. The entire team from executive management to nursing staff to caregivers met us, answered every question and assured us of compassionate care. Living in another state we count on the assurance of excellent care in a caring environment. Visiting yesterday after 6 weeks of residence our mother relayed she felt that she was living in the best place! Thank you Memory Care Team.

Our Experience
Our loved one was previously a resident at Atria Woodbriar and overall, the experience was not great. The care was not very good and that is why we moved our loved one out of Atria Woodbriar and to another facility. Also, the rooms in Assisted Living had no kitchen.

I have been here going on 3 weeks. The heat in apartment has only worked about 3 days out of the time. I moved here from California and don’t have a car yet. I have a great deal of health problems but sm quite young and a good mobility. So after the 1st week I was reassessed and reduced al cart services based on my health. Now I am low man on the scale.
No rides etc. in the upside the staff is great on many levels. The food is better than average but repetitive even only after a couple of weeks.

Review for Atria Woodbriar
I would make a strong recommendation to go into the facility, meet the people. I would tell them that you took excellent care of my loved ones and I am forever grateful. Seemed to be a lot for a respite stay but they were safe and well taken care of which was more important.

Our loved one was a resident at Atria Woodbriar for about two years and based on the experience we definitely would not recommend this place to anybody...ever. They could have been truthful about the level of care they were able to provide.

Would recommend if rent won't be raised for 12 months and then only a reasonable percentage.
They drastically raised my loved one's rent after being there for only four months, around a $[removed] increase! Instead of having enough money for around 6 years, he's now down to 2.5. I will probably have to find a new place for him soon that's less expensive, but I don't know if I can. I would just say make them put in writing that rent won't be raised for 12 months and then only a reasonable percentage. If they can make that happen, then I would recommend them.

The independent living is nice. The assisted living feels lonely. We had some issues with medications being given incorrectly. But it's clean, and the women at the front desk are very nice.

A little disappointed
I think these questions are absurd. I am disappointed in the communication, sometimes no one answers the phone. The medical care is ridiculous. I would tell others to know what you need to know and get all of your questions prepared beforehand, because they are not going to tell you everything.

Best assisted living facility money can buy
I think that Atria Woodbriar is the best assisted living situation that money can buy. The facility is clean and it is new, it is well staffed and they are attentive and caring. They have terrific and experienced new leadership. It was a great placement for my dad. I am very pleased with the experience and would highly recommend them to other families looking.

Would definitely recommend them for a senior family member, and I already have.
I really appreciate the cleanliness of the facility and the caliber of the staff - those two elements are very key when it comes to placing an elderly family member in assisted living. Residents need the social aspect as well to help with such a big life transition, perhaps moving out of their own home. These things make up for some of the things that might be a little below average. But overall, they're very accommodating.

There are lots of activities for the residents to choose from. The food is delicious for my loved and they always to rush back to make it for meals.

It is a good community. The staff and residents are friendly and the value for the money is good. Some of the activities that are available are: a movie theater, some social gathering, laughter therapy, trivia, exercise programs, and more for the residents to participate in.

The people and staff members there sold us on our decisions. Every single person we have dealt with has been kind, caring, considerate and respectful. They treat our loved one like a queen and they are constantly in communication with us. Always been transparent during the pandemic, there communication is fantastic. The food there is good, its not gourmet but its not horrible, and they have a boat load of activities. They do a lot of roving stuff, they have happy hours, and holiday parties. Our loved one is always kept busy and they just increased the capacity to eat in the dining room. For the experience we have had, the value is definitely worth it.

We toured Atria about 4 years ago. It was a very beautiful facility and the tour was great, the director is the one who showed us around. I do remember it being expensive but I would definitely recommend that others go and check it out.

My review of Atria Woodbriar
We chose Atria Woodbriar because they had the most amenities at the time, but we have not been able to use a lot of those due to covid. They have things like a pool, restaurants, etc. My wife is in memory care and they do not serve the same types of food that they serve in the others parts of the facility. I would recommend to others looking.

They were friendly until they had my payment then they turned with no answers to my questions. I was leaving messages and no one was calling me back.
There was no care, medication, or anything for staying only night for the payment I made. They wouldn't refund me for the two months paid even though my loved one spending one night.
