The staff call her \"mama\" and are always friendly when we have been there. It is very important to have a thorough level of care assessment and Appletree was very thorough in its assessment. We can always talk to the Executive Director. [Name removed] has always been very responsive whenever we have contacted her. The food is exceptionally good. The chef has been there for 17 years. Also, many of Appletree's staff have been there for well over 10 years. The staff cleans our mom's room once a week and does her laundry every Friday. The move in was very easy. We used the company that Appletree recommended and were very happy with their service. I think what makes it different is the staff themselves and the staff to resident ratio. You hardly ever see anyone struggling or going without help. The staff knows all of the residents by name and are very kind. I feel great about the staff here and their experience. I've only seen a help wanted sign once, turnover is next to nothing. Some of them have been here since the facility opened and others for several years. They offer my brother a very protected environment. I'm comfortable with them managing his medications also, which was hard for him to do when he was on his own before moving here. The food is excellent, I've eaten here several times. They have a lot of activities and my brother is happy with them. They also have morning and afternoon exercise classes daily. It's very clean, both the facility and his apartment. They allow pets as well. And all care is included, there is no scale for services. The price is reasonable compared to others in the area & just felt like the place for Dad. Good tenure of the staff as well. Dad says the food is good. There are activities but he hasn't tried any yet. With a variety of support levels, care can be tailored to your loved one's specific needs. People are treated as individuals here and the staff is warm and welcoming. \n\nI was impressed with how many people were out and about in the facility. Exercising, visiting with other residents or taking part in one of the activities - plenty to do. \n\nI am happy with mom's decision to make Appletree Court her new home.
