Poll results are in!

Our most recent poll generated an impressive 2,497 votes in only a few weeks. This shows the importance of companionship in our ‘autumn of life’ and that many Americans, especially baby boomers, are thinking about—and planning—their retirement. After all, we know how important socialization and stimulation are for quality of life in our later years.

Our blog post: “4 Reasons Why Independent or Assisted Living May Trump Living Alone” does a good job explaining the importance of socialization, stimulation and activity for 65+ers and why who we surround ourselves with can do a lot for our happiness.

The clear winner of the question, “Who would you like to live with at an assisted living community?” was: “Spouse” with 894 votes. Not a surprising answer. Some of the more surprising answers were the runner ups:

  1. Your Dog
  2. Your Cat
  3. Your Best Friend

These responses, again, confirm that pets truly can be a senior’s best friend! Learn more about the importance of pets in assisted living.

And here are the rest of the poll results…
