When it comes to assisted living, Maryland is a great place to start your search.
Maryland is a transition state in several ways, making it an attractive retirement destination. The state falls in the middle of the country’s Northeast, Southern, and Midwestern regions, and its culture combines elements of them all. This is part of why Maryland earned the nickname “America in Miniature.” With the Appalachian Mountains passing through the far western part of the state, and the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coastlines in the east, Maryland’s geographical features give residents plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities — even in a small state. Annapolis and Baltimore are also home to many historic Colonial sites, and Washington, D.C. sits on Maryland’s southern border.
Currently, A Place for Mom partners with more than 690 assisted living facilities in Maryland.
The median monthly cost of assisted living in Maryland is about $5,500.
I wanted to express my appreciation and recognition for [name removed]. He is truly caring and accommodating for family and my father. He is always attentive and listening which is a lost art today but so needed in human services. [names removed] have done a great jog coordinating these visits. What I like about [name removed] despite his busy schedule he gets back to you promptly. Also [name removed] that works with [name removed] is Great Too! Both are so patient. [name removed] is so positive and caring. My father. Loves the Ravens. She makes sure and reminds him about the games. She has been so flexible helping with video chats which has been our lifeline. [name removed] has a heart of Gold. Before the virus his activities and organization are superb!! He does the best Happy Hour. My father does not like activities but thanks to [name removed] the Happy Hour is a hit. They both are good team and what they do makes a difference. It is so important to have stable staff, I hope they will be here for a quite awhile #livefullylovefullyRead more
The community is always clean and picked up after and organized. The staff is always available, approachable, and accommodating. My husband wasn't able to attend a family event so we asked if we could host a small event in the community and they were very accommodating with that. My daughter also receives weekly updates about his care and has been very happy with that. The care has been good, however, since the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff has had some trouble getting my husband to attend to his hygiene, however they have always been accommodating with things like this in the past since I was mostly the one who was dealt with it. They are always doing something in the community rooms and have games and other activities and decorations available for the residents.Read more
