Assisted living communities provide personal care, social interaction, and supervision to people who are about 65 years of age or older. The types of service offered often include support with the activities of daily life. Residents may be kept under supervision and evaluation. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every 1 residents. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day.
