Public assistance is available through 1915(c) Waiver program –the Living Choices Assisted Living Waiver program. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as An initial needs assessment, reassessment must be completed at least annually and more often as changes occur., compliance agreements, and what the community will and will not do to meet the resident’s needs. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include assistance in obtaining emergency care , assistance with obtaining transportation, assistance with social activities , and assistance with recreational activities . This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include three balanced meals, snacks, and fluids are required.
