When choosing assisted living care, consumers are reliant on their state’s regulatory agencies to provide information about communities and their backgrounds. But public access to assisted living records varies greatly state by state. Here is a snapshot of the level of transparency in Alaska:

Key Findings

  • A list of licensed assisted living providers is only available as an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Alaska does not make information about inspections, violations and complaints available online.

How to Access Records

  • Visit Alaska's Division of Health Services website and select "assisted living licensing" in the right sidebar.
